Went there yesterday for a look round then something to eat and drink in the cafe. But unfortunately the awful smells coming from the cafe put us off.....it smelt like old chip pan fat or burnt even....wouldnt be eating in there :(

It was a blur. You need a degree in botany, hydroponics, floriculture, and of course pedology.For goodness sake don't ask anyone, they will just look at you, shake their heads and point you to the cafe. They don't want to shame you by pointing to the exit!

I make it the centre of a circular walk to rest and refresh. As a garden centre it's OK ish. The café sells good coffee and the staff are pleasing to the eye. I'm afraid that I have a review my review. The coffee quality has fallen somewhat since my last visit. Today.it was undrinkable. Quite how anybody can get Americano so wrong is beyond my ken.

My visits here tend to be for the cafe with a group of friends. The seating is great for groups and the staff are helpful and friendly. The coffee isn't strong enough for my taste, but today it was hot and frothy, as ordered. There's usually a selection of cakes and toasted teacakes; there's a food menu but I don't eat there. In the summer the outside seating is great, but it's separate from the cafe itself which is enclosed in the middle of the store. It gets a bit foggy in there with the cooking smells but there's plenty of space.

A concern that the fishpond water level looks very low. I'm happy to be corrected but I think it should be topped up.

Poor customer service on the paving side. I ordered a set of paving to be delivered which they said would be 2 - 3 weeks. 4 weeks later no delivery and I had to follow up, the staff member I spoke to said they didn't want to call with a timeline in case the order didn't arrive from the supplier. It then transpired that they had the paving in stock the whole time.they then said it would be a further 2 weeks to be delivered. No compensation just a small apology. Very disappointing

Bought some good pots and decorative paving stones here. The prices are cheaper than anywhere local. Very helpful too.
