Worst Argos around, or shall I say the awful staff who are bringing it down. Customer service is terrible, rude, abrupt, they make you feel stupid. Go to a different shop if you have a product that is faulty because this place will do everything they can to not exchange or refund, even if your item is quite clearly faulty, they will tell you the online chat doesn't count & quoted by a rather rude woman in store "they just tell you anything to get rid of you, it's down to the store whether they take an item back or not"Avoid this store at all costs if you want to continue using argos, the most unhelpful rude young lad & woman I have ever come across.

Really poor customer service. Tried to return a faulty smartwatch (connectivity and battery issues) and they said I couldn't because it was "second hand". I tried to explain the situation but the manager who I was speaking with kept interrupting me and arguing. My husband had said to them I didn't like the watch as it didn't work properly and they seemed to be on a bit of a mission not to accept it back after that. I was a bit surprised as I visited the store on Saturday to ask about the faults on the watch and they had already told me I could return it so long as I reset it. I'm a bit confused about why I was now unable to.Having worked in retail for years when I was younger I know it can be difficult to deal with returns and possibly they were under pressure not to accept them or something, but the smirking and laughing together while I was asking what to do next made me feel really upset.Anyway I was able to return it at another store and they took it back no problem. I'm so surprised at the rude behavior. I probably won't return to this store, it made me feel sad and uncomfortable. Maybe they were having a bad day, who knows

Had an unbelievably poor experience at this store last week.Bought an item which I was not happy with. It was £300 and of really poor quality, really slow and with entire areas of operation not working. I went to return it and the shift manager working told me that as it was used I couldn't return it.The manner of this staff member was obnoxious, rude and totally inept. She couldn't explain what Argos definition of used was (item was immaculate but she didn't bother to check), she couldn't explain how I could have checked the quality without starting up the item, couldn't explain how Argos could refuse to meet their legal requirement under the Consumer Rights act and every time I tried to explain the problems with it she kept interrupting me and speaking over me to say that it's used so I can't return it. I left expecting that I'd have to take it to another store and lie about the condition to get my money back.Spoke to Argos customer service who confirmed that I am entitled to a refund based on the problems I'm having and told me to take it to a different store (plus they gave me a voucher as apology for the rubbish service). Took it to a different Argos who accepted the return with no issue. When I mentioned the problems with the Poole store they smiled and gave me a very knowing look. They didn't say anything but their manner makes me think that the bad service at Poole is a known issue.Glad to get my problem sorted, but my god I can't believe how terrible that employee was.

I bought online and picked up from the Argos store in Sainsbury's Poole. Before I left the house, I checked that Argos would accept electrical goods for recycling. They do so I took my clapped out electrical toothbrush.The Job's Worth who's apparently in charge of the store refused to take the old toothbrush. "Unless you have a receipt showing you bought a similar item within 30 days, we won't accept any item." That's not very useful to the environment,. I suppose I should drive to the point of purchase and return it to them in the United States. I dropped the item in the store's rubbish bin.

argos does not want us to come cooling fan where we wanted to return it less than 20 days from the date of purchase. Argos is explained by the fact that it works, so we cannot return. I do not recommend this shop. The windmill is not working as it should

I don't leave reviews often. I'm happy to be able to provide one today.For me, what's important when I purchase something is good customer care. Whilst I can appreciate that there are always procedures to follow, and that I'm dealing with people who have feelings - people who get out of bed to work in this company, to help and provide a good experience to me, the customer. Having been in this industry myself, I know this can be a challenging task. The challenges arise when people think you're a genie and absolutely have to do it their way. Or perhaps, don't understand that rules are rules and have to be followed - no matter how loud they scream or have a tantrum. So I always do my best to make sure not to ruin someones day, over something they can't control. Because let's face it, who wants to serve and do the best for someone being rude ? I can tell you, I never did. I helped the nice person first. The rude people where popped till last. But that's me.I gave you this insight because it brings me to the review. I had just purchased a tablet and the pen nib gave way. Called up manufacturers and they said go back. Here I came to meet the staff and a manager who took me under their wing from the first issue (the pen nib - to the second issue - screen burn - through to the last issue - malfunctioning application. ) First off the staff were friendly and happy people from the get go. Craig the manager was clear and professional. Honestly, he's why I'm here writing the review. It's been a long time since I've walked into a place and felt like a person that's valued. He was so kind. Helped at every opportunity and explained how to do what I needed to do. Not being overly technical, he spent time with me transferring my data - so helpful! I just appreciate him and his team so much.Argos is lucky to have this man working for them. I highly recommend this place. I will return to this particular store because it just feels like home. If I could nominate Craig for manager of the year I would!!Thank you again, Craig, for helping this old lady out, and being so tremendously kind to me. I appreciate you and your lovely staff. ?
