A good menu and friendly service made our two visits here easy. We were staying nearby and were given a recommendation. Very satisfied.

Lovely traditional pub and guesthouse. Superb selection of local cask ales. Loads of outdoor seating. 2 large car parks. Beware, kitchen doesn?t open until 6pm.

Stayed here for the weekend, for a wedding. Staff were all cheery and helpful. Room was lovely and the breakfast options and the dinner we had were really tasty - would happily return.

We sayed here for 4 nights and received a friendly reception. The rooms were adequate, clean with a decent bed, bathroom and shower, however a poor TV with just 3 channels.. BBC Scotland, BBC News and another channel I forgot.
When we stayed here years ago we liked the breakfast then but now it wasn't very good at all. No fried bread and the fried potatoes were just white soggy things sliced from small potatoes with skin on and the sausages almost raw, no frying brown at all. No bread or rolls, just croissants and no yoghurt or fruit salad. The coffee was quite unpleasant, it seemed like powered coffee.. not what one expects these days (you could PAY EXTRA for machine coffee) . It also took FOREVER to come. Even though there were only four tables, it could take an HOUR to arrive after ordering... couldn't understand why.
The evening meal was quite good though with attent service.
As breakfasts are very important to us, we wouldn't stay again.. shame.

We stopped at the camp site opposite and called in one night for a meal for 4. I thought it was above average on price but the food was excellent so I don't mind paying more for the food if it's really good.

Called in for a full English breakfast with friends. Moderate charge, adequate portions, nicely cooked but the coffee, despite being fresh-ground, was mediocre.

Visited for an evening meal. We were met by welcoming staff providing good service, a wide selection of drinks and lovely flavoursome food. We had a fantastic time thank you.

Food was great, good selection of drinks and lots of seating available both inside and out. Staff also very friendly and helpful.
Rooms were immaculate and very comfy great toiletries in the bathroom for use.
Only comment would be you hear everything from other rooms, very creaky.

Had dinner and Sunday lunch here. Food was superb and plentiful. They have a small step at the front of the building but had a folding ramp for wheelchair users. Disabled loo was a good size.
We very much enjoyed our time at the Fox Inn and will definitely return.

It?s my second time in, I?ve visited last December and was absolutely fine - really enjoyed a homely atmosphere and they do have great food
I would not recommend for hot days - there is no aircon, no fans in room and no fridge, hardly any air flow and if window open it?s loud from the pub downstairs.
Otherwise a lovely place!
