The poppadoms were ok but then tonight's experience went downhill rapidly.
The waiter serving seemed to be in a rush and as the lamb jalfrezi arrived sizzling away it went pop and smoke took over. There was little response from the waiting staff despite people choking due to the smoke affect. Doors were slowly opened and window finally opened by one of the patrons.
There were four of us eating and initially only three plates arrived. At the end of the meal and when my uncle made his dissatisfaction known they didn't seem bothered, no offer of apology or discount.
Due to the smoke effect there was a taste throughout the meal. Not impressed as someone from out of town visiting the place after a year

We were in Lyme Regis and fancied an Indian. We were really pleased we chanced upon Lal Qilla, and after experiencing it were delighted we did. After poppadoms and chutneys (which were lovely) we had a chicken Biryanis and a chicken Jeera (a new departure for me) both were delicious, as were the rice, vegetable curry and Peshawari naan. The service was perfect and the staff delightful, if ever we went to Lyme R again we would definitely go back.

How this place has a 4.5 is beyond me. Up there with one of the worst curry?s I?ve ever had. Cheap plumped chicken a sag paneer that was spinach paneer cream and sugar tasteless. Sadly the only curry house in Lyme. The locals deserve better if your on holiday and fancy a curry best wait till you get home.

Small but will formed as they say. A really great BIR. Friendly service. There wasn't a spare table on a Monday night. Deliveries flying out also. Service was efficient and quick. Food was tasty. Definitely would return.

Good food and reasonable prices.
Just be aware of where you are seated. As at the back of the restaurant can be noisy due to the service door to the kitchen flys open with continuous delivery of food to customers tables.

Very welcoming found us a table, even though booked out. Food was outstanding. As so busy service was rushed. But overall a great experience and would highly recommend.
