We have been in Lyme Regis/Charmouth twice already for holiday because of my fossil lover son. We have tried numerous restaurants and come to decision this is the best restaurant in the area. Maybe more expensive with £3-4 but it is worth the price. You are actually eating proper food! Like in 5star hotels. My son only wanted to eat here because they even serve the best tomato pasta penne. He refused the eat the other pasta somewhere else, and he was right:)

I ordered the vegetable moussaka with salad and chips. What came was definitely not moussaka, it had a pastry type top , and courgettes and peppers and very little potato or aubergine, bit like a variation on a Boureki , It was a bit weird tbh. The chips weren?t brill either. The service was not bad but they forgot to ask us if our meals were okay so I was not able to give feedback. The acoustics and music are terrible making conversation difficult m, Not my sort of place.

Fantastic location, right on the seafront with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly, speedy service. Nearest parking approximately 5 mins walk away.

We had a truly fantastic evening at the Harbour Inn last night. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm, friendly smiles ? the barmen were especially great, full of charm and happy to chat, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable.
We sat out on the terrace, and it was absolutely perfect. Looking out toward the iconic Golden Cap as the sun set was nothing short of spectacular ? easily one of the best coastal views we?ve experienced in the UK. The harbour setting is peaceful, scenic, and the ideal backdrop for a relaxing evening.
Dinner was delicious ? the Chicken Kiev was cooked to perfection, golden and crispy on the outside, with rich, garlicky flavour inside. Everything was clearly made with care.
Whether you?re after a delicious meal, a quiet drink with a view, or just want to unwind somewhere beautiful, the Harbour Inn delivers on every level. We?ll definitely be back ? a true gem on the coast!

Quality of the food was excellent but portion size was quite small for the price.
I had line caught sea bass (approx £22 I think) but was presented with a half of one fillet of the fish. The small piece I had was cooked very well, but I was expecting at least 1 whole fillet or perhaps a whole small fish for the price.
Similarly, my wife had catch of the day (mullet) and only had two small pieces on the plate - probably one small fillet cut into two?.
Bit of a shame given we spent around £75 for 3 meals and 2 drinks?.
