Amazing view but service was a let down. Super slow and poor.

One of the best pub views in Dorset. The Shack is a must visit.

A must-visit if you're exploring the Purbeck coast, as you can walk some of the lovely coast path just out from Kingston village (include Kimmeridge if you can, a beautiful fossil-rich area) and pop in to The Scott after your efforts to take in some of the best views from this high point of Corfe Castle across the sweeping valley, and enjoy a relaxing refreshment. Food not assessed.

A lovely pub with great views of Corfe Castle. A cider menu ? & the food is delicious, would go there again.

Decent food and beer in a stunning location. Views from the beer garden are simply amazing. Service was excellent too.

One of those places I really would love to give more stars but it was just a bit of a let down. We've driven past many times when on holiday in the area and always wanted to pop in for a drink on a nice sunny day. The good side is the view from the garden is absolutely stunning, rolling Dorset countryside with Corfe Castle in the middle, the building is attractive and feels like a rustic countryside pub, however inside looks a bit neglected. The real issue - the staff are friendly but just seem a bit clueless, or don't care! A small example, the young girl that served our drinks poured the drink to the very top before adding ice, obviously it spilt over the top, rather than attempt to sort it before giving it to the customer she picked sit up and let it spill all over the floor as she passed it to us, then filled the next two ( on the bar this time) to the very top again too so we couldn't pick them up without them spilling! The guy that served us later was similarly a bit redundant. Looking interested in your customers and taking the time to learn how to do something as simple as pour a drink would go a long way.

Red Sripe Lager £6.50 a pint..I suppose others are similar.
I hope the prices 'drop' in the non season months for the locals..i've supported the pub for many years.
Yes the pub has geat views but prices have shot up and this is why many country pubs have closed..shame.

Was looking forward to Caribbean food as seen on TV, not on menu again for second time of visiting.
The food from main menu this time was disappointing ? some meals were cold as there was 10 of us some had a long wait while others had finished

Went for lunch today, we decided on a ploughman's, very disappointed. 2 pieces of thin warm sourdough, (the menu indicted otherwise), a very basic salad, a dried up pickled onion, cheap pickle and so many gherkins! No butter for the sourdough and the cheese was simply cut from a block, I know this as I had the end piece!. All for £12.95 We wont be back!
