A fairly big, old fashioned (slightly dated) pub. Staff wanted us to all sit in the same area for some reason but were friendly. I was told to order at the bar but the next table had table service so that was a tad confusing. Food was fine and quick but not great, certainly not worth the price. Perhaps a nice place to have a drink when it's busier

Fine pub with decent service, but nothing to write home about. I don't think I've paid over 20 pounds for a roast in my life and it was very average as 22.50. Some of the best roasts I've ever had in very fancy places I've paid max 17-19. Incredible they can get away with charging that - be warned.

I visited on a warm summer day at lunch time so I sat outside with a superb pint of Butcombe.and a snack from the starters menu. Excellent food quickly prepared and well presented.
It's a bit off the beaten track but a welcome retreat from the bustle of Corfe Castle, just 5 minutes along the road to Kimmeridge and Lulworth.

haven't tried any seafood; the roast was excellent, a bit dear, but worth paying to escape Corfe Castle hordes ;) Mind you we were starving after hiking here all the way from Durdle Door!

Nice pub with pleasant atmosphere away from the crowds of Corfe Castle. My wife had the sea bass which was excellent (5 star) but my half lobster was very disappointing (1 star, small with very little meat on it and definitely not worth it)

Food was ok, nothing special. Expensive for what we had, curry rice and a poppadoms, standard portion almost £22. Roast of the day £23.

A very traditional oldie worldie pub. The food was good, service efficient, and quick. It lacks a little something. Maybe music would have helped. We were sitting quite close together with other dinners, which I found a little off putting. I could imagine having drinks here in the winter after a long walk.

Found by chance, what a find. Excellent menu, superbly cooked food, lovely staff. Highly recommended. We initially thought the prices were a little high but no, worth every penny. Apart from being perfectly cooked, I know I'm repeating myself, the portions are huge. I wish we lived a little closer.

We, Steven, Sandra and Blossom our English Bull Dog have visited this Pub many many times over the years. We live in Poole, and it makes for a nice trip out for Sunday lunch. I am always torn between having a Sunday roast, or their Cod Morney, which frankly is to die for. We normally go when the sun shines as we like to be in the garden with lovely views across the fields. In the summer months we try and visit at least once per month. I have read a few negative reviews here which has prompted me to write this. I guess every establishment might have an off day, that's life, but we have always found the staff to be friendly, and the food to be excellent. Zeta is a lovely girl (I'm sure her husband wont mind me saying that) They both work incredibly hard, and deserve to do well. Zeta had twins only a few months ago, and must be working flat out looking after them and running the Pub at the same time. As the saying goes; ' if you don't use it, you will loose it' So, next time your thinking of having a meal out somewhere in the Purbecks and wondering where to go, do give this a go. I am sure you wont be disappointed.

Ordered the surf and turf specifically asked if it was fresh got told yes and served a clearly cooked from frozen lobster with half of it missing (basically got a tail and one and a half claws) they said they'd given me an extra claw but one was completely empty, the lasagne looked okay but wouldn't bother again, I can see why we were the only people there

Stayed the night in our camper in their car park, nothing too much trouble. Great atmosphere and fab food.
