Overpriced. Cod tasted vaguely fishy, and shaped like a large battered sausage! Chips were poor, barely hot with lots of small hard pieces. Staff were cold and impersonal, didnt care? Possible change of ownership? coz I've had better experiences there.

The fish was perfectly cooked with that classic golden crisp, and the chips were exactly how they should be. What really stood out was the atmosphere ? the retro seaside look instantly takes you back, capturing that authentic 70s/80s chip shop charm. It?s not trying to be modern ? it?s doing the original thing properly, and that?s what makes it special. Highly recommend over the usual generic spots.?

In short: Overpriced, below average food and even worse customer service.
Found the staff to be abrupt and rude, rushing me to give my order and just overall poor customer interaction. Once back and wanting to eat the food we ordered, found the order to be wrong - asked for curry sauce and got mushy peas and to top it off the chips were terrible. Soggy and undercooked. Wasnt able to go back to change the order as too far away by this point.

We got in and were immediately seated at a table, amazing decor and the food was so good. The portions sizes were perfect , though I was full only halfway through eating, the chips are so perfect, crunchy on the outside and creamy and mealt in your mouth on the inside, lovely pics of the sea hung around the place.

Can't rate the food as we weren't allowed to sit on the white chairs (in the picture) to eat our food, despite it tipping down outside. The restaurant was closed, but to not be allowed to sit and eat on chairs that are inside is ridiculous. Awful customer service, wouldn't recommend to anyone.

The large lady with plaited hair and glasses .
Seemed a chore to serve us . Was belittling the young man serving . Waited ages and then she literally shoved and slammed our orders on the counter !!
No customer service . Really rude .
Used this shop years ago. But no longer to be treated so rudely by this arrogant women !

Avoid at all costs! I have just paid £18.45 for a large cod and chips.
The fish was small and the chips were inedible and cold. As a visitor to the area we were extremely disappointed.
I assume that other people have had similar experiences as I was the only customer at 6 45pm!
