Your milk is always sour and disgusting within a day or two. Last month it was sour on the day of purchasing. Getting fed up of paying your extortionate prices for rotton milk. Last time I ever buy milk from you. Purchased 24th December opened 27th and it's rotten. Use by date says 4th. Kept in a colder fridge then you store it in. I believe you miss handle your milk and don't keep it cold before it gets put on the shelf or your delivery vans don't chill the milk. Either way I hope it gets investigated as it's really starting to take the cake! Wasted over £10 on milk within the last few weeks. Started paying for cravendale but you have now banged the price up on that too!

It's a good shop but I always find Waitrose to be over priced however having said that the bakery is nice and fresh so can't really complain

Still not impressed with this store. Too many trollies in the way in numerous aisles. Yes I know shelves have to be restocked but not several at ONCE surely? The only way to pay at checkout was by self-service and card ONLY! Cashiers were probably stacking shelves! Wanted a copy of Waitrose's free Weekend paper but none available to pick up. They were on the floor all strapped up, so not having a pair of scissors on me or a penknife I left without a copy. These comments only relate to the Poundbury store. Sidmouth and Crewkerne stores far, far better.

The service was really quite poor They had run out of key vegetables that were part of the dish The dish that arrived, whilst tasty was actually pathetic No one asked No one cleared No one thank us for our business Wouldn?t return Think they have Monopoly for the immediate area Complacent!!!

Very poor. Turned up for a family meal, little choice left on the menu, almost all sold out! Would have been good if the waitress could have smiled! Won?t be back !

Unfortunately this used to be a great experience but value, quality and service have slipped. Meals took nearly an hour, they were small and cool or cold. Service is really disappointing and I am not sure this is the staff's fault. I'd guess that training, staffing numbers and absent management were the key issues.

This was one of our favourite dining spots when in Dorset visiting my family. Unfortunately a few black spots have sort of spoilt this for us. The first is that the kitchen closes at 9 pm I know this sounds crazy but it's true. I worked in the catering trade for many, many years and never stopped serving before 10:30pm but whatever.. this means that you have to order your dessert when ordering your main courses which means that you don't know if you are going to want it by the end of your mains .. ridiculous! The second and again , so mad it made me laugh. My mother , however, was not amused. We had finished our meal , early ,as dessert was done before 9pm, and the waitress very lethargically asked us if everything was ok .We said yes thank you it was fine at which point she told us to clear away our glasses and take them to the bar when finished ,and I quote " We are all so exhausted , so can you clear your table " So exhausted that at 9pm she is not capable of carrying out the task she is paid to do . Come on , you can do better than that Duchess of Cornwall , or train your staff better . The meal was good , not brilliant , not hot enough for me , a tad lukewarm my Tajine but apprently the fish and chips and the burger were fine. As for the desserts they were tasty but less appreciated than if we had been less rushed to choose. Only highlight was the lovely bartender, very pleasant and efficent

An overnight stay whilst in the area. Set in the town of Poundbury (designed by the then Prince of Wales, now King Charles), this pub/hotel creates part of the Queen Mother Square area. The pub itself emits an air of grandeur. Large and spacious, with mezzanine floor plus outdoor seating. Our room was on the third floor. Spacious, with views over the town and Dorchester (approx 2miles away) on one side and overlooking Queen Mother Square on the other. Tastefully decorated, pleasing to the eye. Had our evening meal in the dining room on floor 1. Food was absolutely delicious. Very attentive staff. Staircase leads down to both the mezz floor and pub's bar. Wide selection of drinks (and snacks) available from the bar. Overall, fantastic place to stay. Will certainly recommend staying there to anyone in this area of Dorset. Frequent bus service into Dorchester and also down into Weymouth.
