We went for lunch as a party of 6. We had pre booked because it was the Christmas season. We were greeted by a very friendly member of the team. Shown to our table,allowed to settle, then had our drinks order taken and then shortly after that we had our meal order's taken by another charming team member. We didn't have to wait very long until all of our food was brought to the table. We had a gluten free option, a vegetarian option and 4 meals and starters off the Special menu. Every meal was beautifully cooked and presented. We had a really lovely time and will definitely be returning in the near future.

What a lovely find , I was trying to find a hotel with a walk in shower for my mother in law . The staff were so helpful with the questions I was asking whilst booking a room for the night which included a lovely breakfast in the morning .
We had a fantastic evening meal aswell served with such professionalism and friendly staff throughout . Food was delicious ?
I would definitely recommend the New Inn and will be returning.
Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable sadly only for 1 night though

Love it. We?re catching an Old English Truffle Hunt from here. Really enjoy the clean, remodeled rooms. The lamp rump dinner was amazing and the bar staff, checkin and waiter were excellent.
One thing to know?. You can?t check-in before 5:30 pm or even get into the building. We were fortunate not to arrive too early.
Rooms: I enjoyed it. Open windows. Freshly painted. Comfortable chairs. Nice beds.

Last time we were in this area, we stayed at their sister property, The Black Dog, and had really enjoyed it so decided to give The New Inn a try for this visit.
The Inn has a great vista overlooking the fields. The accommodation is towards the rear of the building with separate access. Our room was quite spacious with an ensuite bathroom. Both clean and comfortable.
We stayed for two nights and had dinner in the restaurant on both nights. The food was very good and our servers on both nights were lovely.
Breakfast was included and was most enjoyable.
The bar seems to have a good selection of beers, wine and spirits.
I can certainly recommend The New Inn for a lovely stay.

Highly recommend staying here!
The room was huge, clean, bright, and sunny, with great views. The food was well above what one would expect in pug grub. The breakfast menu was impressive! The restaurant was full of locals enjoying the great food, which is always a good sign. The staff was pleasant, helpful, and professional. I will happily stay here again if I am in the area.

Spent two nights here, lovely room,pub very clean, food very good, the haddock was perfect, pleasant staff, real ale.
Rooms: Very clean room, refurbished.
Food and drinks: Real ale, which suited me! Good breakfast, & evening meal.

Very convenient for the coast, and also for the sculpture by the lake garden. This is a delightful country inn with comfortable beds, good rooms, and delightful food and drink in the pub.. an excellent breakfast served exactly as we requested, indeed chef went above and beyond to give us exactly what we needed. Good, comfortable, cosy.

Nice and cozy inn. Beautiful rooms and beautiful surroundings. Staff are very friendly.
Nearby activities: We came to visit the tank museum, which is quick and easy to reach from here.
Food and drinks: The food is highly recommended. Delicious and extensive menu.

cold welcome. not a smile. no effort to speak to us slowly. too bad, we wanted to eat in the evening but we won't spend a penny more here.

Booked a stay as we were visiting the nearby Tank Museum and was very pleasantly surprised. Super quaint location backed up by very cosy rooms and out of this world food. Ordered from both the specials and classics menu, and everything was phenomenal. Large range of breakfast options and we were incredibly lucky to be there for the Sunday carvery, which was amazing. Can't thank the staff enough for making our family stay so special.
