Just stopping by for a pint is always nice, friendly, welcoming but cycling from Affpuddle church on a Sunday for the carvery is off the scale! The place has been transformed since the village took it over, it?s a joy!

Popped in here for a break, as travelling to Southampton from Cornwall, excellent beer and fantastic sandwiches. Great value. Hopefully we will stop in on the way back!

New Owners have clearly put a lot of love into this cozy village pub. Food is amazing. So amazing that we had to return again. We tried the pie one night and buffet Sunday roast the next. Everything was homemade including gravy that was particularly delicious. Portions were big. They also served us local beer which was perfect after a long day trekking.

I went there with a group of friends. We had booked and ordered what we wanted in advance, nevertheless we were kept waiting. The food when it arrived was great and the staff were polite

Eventually found the pub open on the 6th attempt one Sunday evening. Descent pint of Guinness, but at 10 past 7, being asked would we be ordering any more drinks as the bar was closing soon!!
So went up the road for more drinks and ordered food there.

Went here on Saturday with my family. Food was delicious and well priced. The service was above and beyond, with them trying to find us a table as it was busy. Menu is great dairy free and gluten free, it's all written on there and lots of choices. I would definitely go back here.

The Martyrs Inn is a must for anyone travelling on the A35 who would like quality food at a very reasonable price. Puddletown is a quaint little village just off the A35. The staff are very welcoming, and the food is......well, go and try it, you won't be disappointed. It's a definite stop for me next time I'm down that way 11/10

Been to the Martyrs Inn several times for lunch during the week, always excellent.Yesterday I went for Sunday lunch, Wow!! Possibly the best Sunday lunch I have ever had, well done to all concerned!!
