Super location right next to train station, in the gentrified brewery district, walking distance from the high street. Car parking is unusual: pull up in front of the hotel in the 20min bays, check in, then use room key to enter an underground car park. Good luck finding the car park, instructions/directions are lacklustre at best. Or consider other open air car parks nearby. Check in was very, very slow, and by the time I'd found the car park probably more than 30mins had passed between arrival and getting in to the room. Rooms clean and up to usual premier inn standard.

The room was clean and the bed large and comfortable. Bad points were the net curtain which barely covered the window and had a hole in it. In the bathroom, there was low water pressure which was insufficient to swill the basin out after cleaning teeth for instance, and the basin took a long time to empty. Breakfast was nice on the whole but some items on the servery were only lukewarm. The cleaning of the restaurant showed a lack of attention to detail as did the cutlery. The worst point for me was the low heavy chairs in the restaurant, a very odd arrangement. Staff were very pleasant.Walkability: 10 minutes walk to the town centre.

Not informed that there was limited parking. TV was not working properly and no spare toilet paper.

It was a bed for the night in a great location. The room was a good size but not very clean. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was great. The shower gel was almost empty and what was in there was basically water. It wasn't topped up on a room clean either. We were left with 1 towel for 2 people after the room clean too.We were told we could drop off our bags while we went to park the car and when we returned they were left unattended in reception which is right in front of the door! There was never anybody on reception and you had to ring a bell and wait if you needed anything.Didn't eat there so can't comment on the food.

Premier inn thank you for such a wonderful experience with your hotel for the night.I had a wonderful night's sleep, The staff are very friendly and professional,The hotel is disabled friendly and the room was clean and in great condition. The food the next morning was delicious and set me up for the day.for the price of a hotel I highly recommend it and with it being so close to the train station & the town centre it's really helpful.Rooms: The room was clean and the bedding was of great quality.I always enjoy how comfortable the rooms feel.Nearby activities: There are plenty of coffee shops or local dinner hotspots located close to the hotel. there are even two cinemas in walking distance,I highly recommend taking a walk around the borough garden if you have the time.

Room not cleaned that clean. Tv remote didn?t work. The breakfast was poor. The Cooked breakfast was either overcooked or not cooked very weak. I asked for fried eggs and they made them complete with lots of black pudding bits, I am choosing to tell myself, Yum? They had no bread for toast amongst of issues. The service was not great. I felt like they were doing me a favour serving me. Not a great experience from Premier Inn.

I am being a bit generous with 4 stars. The location is very good but the hotel is in serious need of refurbishment. Our room had coffee stains splashed on the wall and seemed generally tired. It is one of those places that have their costs screwed down so much that it feels as if guest comfort is at the bottom of their list. Lowest quality toilet paper, hand soap, body wash, etc. 1 hand towel provided for a double room, although at least there were 2 bath towels. We had a late check in and the room was ice cold. I will say that the staff were nice and the bed was comfortable so those are on the plus side. I don't rate this hotel as good value for money, unfortunately. They really could and should do better.

Typical premier innWe had a big problem with the heating. Not on when we arrived. Had to visit reception and queue to get it turned on from the office. Took all night to heat up. Freezing outside. Not on!

Kate and Kevin were amazing last night. Kate was very efficient at checking us in without a booking and sorting out rooms for us at short notice. Very kind, very considerate and really efficient. Rooms brilliant, comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Excellent breakfast :) thank you!

Stayed for one night in Nov 23. We use Premier Inn regularly both for work and leisure. Our usual experience is a reasonable standard, good value for money, and a good night's sleep. The experience at the Dorchester Premier Inn was very different. The standards demonstrated in Dorchester are fundamentally different in almost all respects to elsewhere. On arrival, there was no staff member to check us in. No problem, so we tried to check in using the self-service machines. Both were broken with paper signs on saying so. We then spent 15 minutes walking around the hotel, trying to find a member of staff to check us in. I eventually found one who said that he would book us in, but we were disturbing his break. He reluctantly booked us in.During the usually peaceful night, there was a continual stream of people banging past the hotel room and making noises that kept us awake until the small hours. In the morning, the weather was terrible, so rather than mosey into town for a bite to eat, we elected to have breakfast in the hotel. After paying and asking someone to wipe one of the dirty empty tables, we sat down. However, there was no coffee as the machine was broken. No orange juice, no continental breakfast, no plates, the place was a mess, and the cooked food wouldn't have looked out of place in the local nick. Utterly appalling. So I asked for a refund, which I was grudgingly given by one of the staff. We were overall really disappointed. We have had such good service in the other Premier Inn hotels. I made these representations to customer service and was told that they would offer some training to staff.Would check the feedback on any Premier Inn I stay at in future. And would not go back here ever. A real shame.

The premier inn dorchester is a modern premier inn located very close the town centre, the train line to London and brewery Square. The rooms are satisfactory and the hotel decor fresh.Unfortunately the hotel is clearly understaffed to quite sever levels with limited access to check in staff and restaurant staff who are over worked and highly stressed making the quality of service very poor.Furthermore during our recent stay, at breakfast my wife caught the restaurant lead (possibly manager) swearing at me under his breath when I arrived with her and my daughter (under 5) for breakfast, though I didn't directly hear this, I would note the managers behaviour was incredibly twitchy and clearly someone who was overwhelmed with the situation. I would not blame him directly but clearly the understaffing issue for causing a high level of stress and unprofessional atmosphere. After that we ate breakfast away from the hotel.I find it odd that the hotel requires you to leave a note on the door and request at reception that you want your room cleaned instead of many other hotels which allow you to leave a note on the handle that tells house keeping not to clean the room - this would be alot simpler, again with the lack of staff at check in we had to knock on the door of the porter and ask him to notify housekeeping as well as help another guest who had been waiting a while to access staff to discuss a seperate issue. For this hotel to get to better they need more staff

They don't even have labelled spoons for breakfast so you are mixing pork with vegetarian options, unlike other placesF-in disgusting.
