My partner and several friends use this venue often. It's changed has three times in the last decade and the current owners have turned it into a home from home. They really about their food, service and ,when they can, spending time with customers.

We had the nicest pre Christmas family get together today, the food was absolutely delicious with gluten free dietary needs happily catered for. The staff were amazing and great with the children. I would highly recommend a visit, looking forward to my next meal at the lovely Octagon cafe. Thank you again for helping create an afternoon to remember :-)

Welcoming atmosphere.
Dog friendly which is great.
The breakfast was one of the best I have had anywhere. Decent amount of food and perfectly cooked.
And only £7.50 which included tea or coffee. Absolute bargain.
Definitely recommended. Will be stopping in next time we?re passing.

4 of us went yesterday to celebrate a 90th birthday, we opted for the afternoon tea and booked in advance. From start to finish the service was fantastic! Owners made a real fuss of the birthday girl, we were all made to feel very welcome, were really attentive, offered more tea and water and even offered to warm the scones - which 2 of us enjoyed!
The sandwiches were tasty, fresh with plenty of filling (my fave being the ham and mustard!). The cakes were also fresh and delicious! We were even given a box to bring leftovers home.
We have been before for breakfast and that too was a tasty treat!!
Would definitely recommend this to everyone!

So grateful to Linda for all the love and support, not to mention fabulous food, she has provided my Mum and Stepdad whilst they were living together in Poundbury and as they got less mobile and more reliant on outside help. There's a lovely atmosphere and a mix of people. A very special place and a pillar of the community.And they make excellent sandwiches. I've only tried one cake but it was properly good.

This is a cheerful venue. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is very good. We have had breakfast and Sunday roast. Both fully recommended.
