I needed guidance with several things. I tried to find the solution on Barclays' website but it was unsuccessful. The lady (I think her name was Alice), who was helping me was extremely nice and patient. She was very professional, her advice allowed to resolve several issues. I am very grateful for her time and support.I think it is very important to have the Barclays branch available for customers. Thank you.

Very slow over an hour to be seen by someone at the counter after being told I had to go there to sort out the issue I had. To then be told no I had to wait to see their colleague in an office as the counter wasn?t helping with this issue .over 70 minutes to just get this issue sorted out and all my parking wasted .looking to take my banking else where so disappointed.

Family use this bank location in Dorchester and the staff is so rude its a unbelievable behaviour. My family member being turned away today by staff as he wasn't business owner or business client and told that he had to do what he wanted online. He doesn't have Internet access but the staff refused to assist and threaten to call the police if he didn't leave immediately. All I wanted to do was deposit money into his account and ask for a check to be written for him and this is what he gets for his trouble. He had to wait for a while to see the cashier and this behaviour is the level of service he recieves. I'm now helping him switch and place a formal complaint due to the lack of respect and level of service or lack of it towards customers.

My wife is a customer of Barclays Dorchester branch, or I should say WAS, she visited the branch today to pay in a cheque , the on duty cahier ? refused to serve her informing her she HAD to use the self serve pay in machine, whatever happend to customer service & manners, The banks aim is obviously to close & go on-line, and when they very shortly do, They will say it's what the customers want !! What the rude cashier wants to hope, when looking for her next job, that a previous insulted customer of hers is not on the interviewing board.PS. I am proud to inform you all, my wife closed the account on the spot &Withdrew all the money

My wife visited here today what a joke!!! After waiting in the que for the cashier to pay a bill told she had to use the machine which had an even longer que. She had served the customer in front of her but was told thats because he was unable to use the machine. Well how does she know my wife can? people do have hidden disabilities. She then went on to turn the other customers in the que away whilst she sat there bone idol. What a joke for customer service and i found her very rude. Will consider using other branches in future.

I haven't been in a bank branch for three years or so, having used telephone and digital banking etc. I would like to massively thank the lady that helped me move some money around and some account admin after I made an online mistake. Fantastic service.

Visited this branch recently. I had waited there for 50 minutes before seeing someone. And the funny thing was, it wasn?t even busy. Members of staff chose to ignore me waiting patiently on the provided seats and decided to see to other rather impatient and immature customers who were stood directly outside the door. There was a member of staff sat behind the counter making eye contact with me yet decided to sit there looking at his phone instead.

strongly dislike the lack of human tellers, feel the person loitering around the queue for this service would be better employed behind a counter dealing with the clients in the queue

We bank there regularly and find the staff both friendly and helpful. They will intercept people in the queue to see if they can help with any quick services such as cheque deposits etc.

Worst bank ever. My husband tried to pay some cash into my account on easter Saturday morning. Huge queues and was treated like a criminal when he reached the cashier because apparently he isn't allowed to pay in money for someone else. The woman loitering to "help" customers in the queue was more interested in standing uneccessarily close to the men in the queue and ignored me even when I tried to ask her a question. We waited to pay cash in at the machine then realised we had queued for the wrong machine and then had to join the back again, the woman once again offered no help despite seeing what had happened. Horrible atmosphere. Everyone miserable. We went across the rd to my husbands bank. Where we were treated fabulously and quickly and then he transferred the money to my about on his phone. Barclays are a joke.

Staff are rude, Been into a lot of Barclays Banks and had good service from all except this one. All staff seem like theyâ??ve had a bad day and that implicates a bad atmosphere at the branch and then makes a clear implication on their customer service which isnâ??t a good one.

A very nice branch of Barclays with a bit of local Dorchester history connected to Thomas Hardy's novel 'The Mayor of Casterbridge'. No long queuing on my visit and staff were friendly and cheerful. The hellish automated paying-in machines were not in evidence and human tellers made this branch seem genuinely well above average. Barclays bank senior suits, please take note.
