“I just love the place. When I'm in Poundland, I'm always trying to second-guess which items are cross-subsidising other items. But in Home Bargains, without the handicap of the "everything's a pound" gimmick, you just get great value for money on every individual item. This is a decent size store, with a broad range of stuff. Most of my purchases are probably from the toiletries, DIY, motoring and cleaning sections. Also pre-packed simple food items e.g. spices are exceptional value.A word of praise for the staff - I find them to be cheerful and pleasant people, one and all.Plenty of car parking here, and easy to find on the main road into Christchurch from the western (Bournemouth) direction.Update March 22 - Just want to add that the shelves are always well-stocked, as indeed they were throughout the Covid era and shortage of lorry drivers. In this sense, Home Bargains is doing a much better job than stores like Wilko who seem to have huge supply chain issues, and gaps on the shelves every time I go in.Update Jan 23 - last autumn the store expanded to take on the vacant unit next door. This has almost doubled the floor space, so the range they're able to stock now is very broad indeed.Update Nov 23 - Wilko has gone under, and hardly anything is still a pound in Poundland, but Home Bargains is flying the flag as ever. Simply a great retailer.Go here first, before looking elsewhere ...”

“This is the literal Tardis of Sainsburys branches. Shop front seems quite small when you arrive but the inside is HUGE. Massive clothing department with a brilliant range of children's clothes (always struggle to find clothes for my son locally) and I was very impressed.”

“First visit since COVID began and I have to say the systems were good, stock levels were also good but what stood out was the staff. They were excellent and a credit to the store.”

“Great place to shop although it's often not easy to find someone to ask for help. Lovely chatty Canadian lady on the checkout, maybe Lidl could help her with a flight home to see her mum!”

“Convenient with many choices of food and drink however some products can be on the pricey side. Items are discounted regularly though and if you can deal with a small loss of quality, your visits can become mush cheaper.”

“I love M&S food with only a few exceptions. I always pop in when I don't know what I fancy because I am always inspired and never disappointed.
The staff are so kind and helpful, you never feel rushed.”

“A nice store with nice people. The Co-op has a lot of products in stock from groceries to batteries and the design of the store is modern. The store has music and occasionally runs offers in-store, and in the app.”

“Relatively cheap petrol and a large tesco convenience store where you pay for the petrol. No separate queue for petrol only which can be frustrating as many customers only use the shop as it larger than your average petrol station store. The exit is onto a very, very busy road so be patient.”

“Pretty classic local co-op. A reasonable size with pretty much everything you need and some specialist stuff as well. Prices a bit above average but to be expected for the location. Self service checkouts ensure there is no queuing once you’ve found what you want”
