I just love the place. When I'm in Poundland, I'm always trying to second-guess which items are cross-subsidising other items.But in Home Bargains, without the handicap of the "everything's a pound" gimmick, you just get great value for money on every individual item.This is a decent size store, with a broad range of stuff. Most of my purchases are probably from the toiletries, DIY, motoring and cleaning sections. Also pre-packed simple food items e.g. spices are exceptional value.A word of praise for the staff - I find them to be cheerful and pleasant people, one and all.Plenty of car parking here, and easy to find on the main road into Christchurch from the western (Bournemouth) direction.Update March 22 - Just want to add that the shelves are always well-stocked, as indeed they were throughout the Covid era and shortage of lorry drivers. In this sense, Home Bargains is doing a much better job than stores like Wilko who seem to have huge supply chain issues, and gaps on the shelves every time I go in.Update Jan 23 - last autumn the store expanded to take on the vacant unit next door. This has almost doubled the floor space, so the range they're able to stock now is very broad indeed.Update Nov 23 - Wilko has gone under, and hardly anything is still a pound in Poundland, but Home Bargains is flying the flag as ever. Simply a great retailer.Go here first, before looking elsewhere ...

The shop is much bigger then it was before. It's getting better every time I visit. Members of staff are always busy but will gladly stop and help you out if needed. The only aria I don't really like is a fresh and frozen food.

Great place with low prices and great brands. The staff are friendly courteous and willing to help. One can practically get nearly everything in here. Definitely recommended for local shopping and there is ample free parking in the area. Thank you and have a great day ?

Certainly plenty of merchandise to choose from, if your just browsing, you'll need plenty of time on your hands. I knew they had a selection of food but didn't realise that they had a refrigerated section. Staff are very helpful.
