VERY poor company and would not use or recommend. They had arranged to collect my car for a service and MOT. No phone call to say they couldn't collect, I had to chase. They then kept the car for 2 days and only when I applied pressure did they actually carry out the MOT (which was due to expire that day). I was told the car would be returned by 4pm at the very latest as I needed to leave the area. After numerous phone calls by me and promises of the car being returned, the car was finally dropped off at 8.30pm with no communication from the company at all, and with their garage phone switched off after 6pm so no way to find out what was going on. The only way I got a response was to message via their Facebook account and then speak to police who recorded this as potential theft of vehicle. If you use this garage, make sure you do not need your vehicle for 2 or 3 days and do not rely on them collecting and dropping off when they say they will....be warnedUpdate 01Sep23: The garage have asked me to remove the review. Yes, I booked through Servicing Stop however it was the garage's responsibility to collect my vehicle and carry out the MOT and service as booked, and to return the vehicle as promised. Servicing Stop are a broker for the garages. It is the garages that carry out the work. As a minimum the garage should have contacted me to say the MOT couldn't be carried out on the two occasions it had been booked for, and that the car would be dropped back when you felt like it, rather than at the agreed time. Anyone reading this should look at other reviews for this garage. It is the same pattern - they do something wrong and then blame Servicing Stop on their review feedback. I do not live in the area of the garage and only booked as I was called to the area as an emergency with 2 sick parents in hospital. This drama just added to an already stressful time.

Helped a stranded tourist immediately!!!So happy with their help our holiday could continue because of this.Very helpful and friendly team at this garage. The young man who manages things there deserves a big compliment.

Don't waste your time with this garage. I booked with them through Servicing Stop website. They turned up at half 11 to collect my car, even though it was booked to be collected between 8-10am. When I called the garage, they said they only had one driver. They had car all day, supposedly completing the full service and MOT that I'd paid in advance for, but I didn't hear anything at all. Rang them at 5.15pm and was told it was being done presently. Heard from them at 5.30pm saying MOT was failed due to a worn tyre. Surely if they'd done the correct full service, they'd have noticed and rectified this earlier in the day? They are a tyre shop after all. Did not return car until 6.40pm, despite return window being 4-6pm. Nobody answering phones after 6pm and no communication about why car was late. No evidence a service has even been completed - no paperwork and nothing in log book. Very poor customer service. Would never use this garage again and would not recommend you waste your money on them either. Poor work, poor communication.

It's ok but I'm sorry I don't feel confident in giving more than three stars.Busy workshop on edge of busy road.In the condition and with the equipment you would expect from a tyre place.We rang and ordered tyres were told to attend the next afternoon, which we did to find that they had forgotten to order so we had to return again.When we attended the staff team were very young and really struggled to find out they had forgotten to order and then struggled to order more.Small sit while you wait area within the main office and chocolate bars etc on sale from vending machine.

Barrack rd Garage may look a bit unorganised but George and his boys couldn't have been more helpful.. We were on holiday for two weeks and my Volvo had developed a clunking driveshaft.. two wrong driveshafts later (supplier fault) and my old driveshaft back in (strangely no more clunking ?) we headed back to Cornwall.. if you are looking for a pristine workshop full of computers and technicians in white coats you'll be disappointed, however if you want mechanics with spanners this is where you need to go... The friendliest place Thank you George.. will see you again

Don?t bother booking a time slot.Booked for first thing intentionally weeks ahead of time. When I dropped it off at 8:30 it was clear they weren?t expecting me. Called an hour and a half later and they still hadn?t touched it. Told me it was booked for an afternoon slot which I could not do. Why bother offering slots if you don?t stick to them?

Came across this garage by chance. The guy that runs this place day to day is amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Pricing is reasonable and quality of work great. Highly recommended.

Took my car in to have a problem looked at.I was told it would be cheeper and easier if I brought the item myself from eBay at a cost of £6.It would have been easy for them to book my car in and make a quick profit.It is nice to find a garage that is honest.
