The Sun Inn was one of the places that we've been saying we must visit since moving here a year ago, but life happens and it kept getting delayed, finally visited and all I can say is.... Wished we had visited far sooner.
We came for the carvery and it was absolutely delicious. the meats and vegetables were cooked to perfection, the service was awesome, friendly yet professional and nothing seemed like an issue.
If your any where near the Sun Inn, this is the place to be for a good meal, and definitely worth a drive if your not.

Met an old School friend for lunch today. I forgot what a supeb pub this is. A warm welcome from the young lady who would mainly serve us - she and her colleagues were all excellent. Polite, not rushing us to order and relaxed at the same time. We both went for the pie - steak, mushroom and ale. His daughter opted for whitebait...We all throughly enjoyed our choices. Personally, best 'proper' pie I've had in a pub for a long time! Definitely home made ?
Deserts were equally impressive. Also, what was great to see - by 1pm the whole place was packed with happy customers no doubt.
We'll done Sun Inn, absolutely superb. Keep it up!
I'll definitely return with my family soon!

Went as part of a group of sixteen on bank holiday Saturday. Table been booked for a while so that wasn't an issue except twelve together and four on a separate table.
Been here several times before and the food, carvery etc always good. Lovely building good food and weather.
Personally, carrots don't belong in Bolognese!

Good parking ..nice pub.. carvery veg good / beef gristly/chewy (but meat is what you get????) pork bit too pink.. think over £17 for 1 carvery meal is bit over priced but maybe I need to go out more!

I often pass this place en route to places of work, and think how welcoming it looks. Finally got to go in with my lady, I was not disappointed. The food was piping hot and tasty ( no seasoning required) the staff were pleasant and attentive and the toilets were spotless with good hot water and soap. A very nice experience, We'll be visiting again.

Great pub, plenty of parking, food was good, service okay but very busy on the day we went. Dog friendly which is nice and a lovely garden area with climbing frame for the kids. Will be back.

We have just had a fabulous home cooked meal here near Dorchester. I had an amazing carvery, my partner had the freshest fish n chips ever! The staff were soooo friendly and the ale was kept very well. I cant recommend this place enough and wish it was near where I live! Thankyou The Sun for your welcome and great food.
