My friend and I visited this Wetherspoons (last of 5) on Thursday, 14-Aug-25 at approx. 9:30 pm. I can't provide any star rating for the food, as we didn't purchase any (only bought drinks).
It was quite busy outside in the large and pleasant garden area, mostly occupied with younger persons enjoying the warm weather. Inside were only a few customers. All in all, I would describe it as a quiet place.
One thing to note is car parking: there is a main carpark named Story Lane car park which is listed on Google Maps and charges appy 8am to 10pm. However, another smaller car park is right outside the rear of the pub, where charges apply 8am to only 4pm - therefore opting for the smaller carpark could save you money!

As a local resident have been coming to this wetherspoons for a number of years. Recently have been put off coming by the amount of tables added to the premises. Far too close now if you want to have a meal and even a challenge to get to the bar! Now travel to Wimborne as more pleasant.

Great spoons, really good value for money. Price for family of 5 under £60. Meal was piping hot and service was excellent.

Shocking management, poor communication, cold food, shocking service, and even worse managers. Definitely not the kind of people I?d hire to run my business.

Food is always good early in the evening for what you pay for and plenty on the plate.. The staff are so kind and there are always more than happy to amend the meal 10l10 for polite service!! Would definitely recommend for an easy stop and pint with your meal ??

My new favourite cheap and cheerful eating place! Very popular, chiefly because of the price list and portion sizes I imagine. The menu alone is huge! Today was 7% off day, so even more popular than usual. I like that most of the prices for a main meal include a drink, and yet are still very reasonable. Our only mini complaint was that the comfortable booths for 4 people weren't designed for regular munchers at this restaurant as the size of our posteriors tend to reflect our enjoyment of the food!!
Parking: The notice said "£1.50 for 2 hours)".....I stupidly mis-read it as £1.50 for one hour....so paid DOUBLE by mistake!!!
Kid-friendliness: It is children friendly (unfortunately!! ;-) !!) - but it's a pretty large dining area, so not too irritating!

Passing through the area ordered a meal and drinks didn't take long to arrive to our table.nice pub locals seemed to be friendly wetherspoons always good value ! Enjoyed our visit !
