It was so good. I want to keep it secret. Big, clean room, with great facilities. Off season, so there was no bar, but great nights sleep as it was quiet. Wonderful breakfast and free parking in a great location. Don't tell

We?re just back from a quick stay here. We?ve visited it ?as a pub? a few times in the last year and each time we?ve seen gradual improvements. The (dog friendly) room was very clean, modern and well equipped. And unlike most pub stays, it was amazingly quiet too. We slept with the window wide open and curtains too and watched the dawn sunrise in bed. Location is awe inspiring and has a safe level free car park right opposite.Breakfast was excellent too. We didn?t feel like pariahs ordering the veggie option either as it was on the menu and was well seasoned and grease free. The guy with the earring hole from Bridport was very cool (clearly loved his job too) and coupled with a nice late 11am checkout made this a very chilled and relaxed stay.Big mention to the extremely sweet and clearly very well locally respected Hazel who enjoyed laughs with us from behind the bar and who created a really great vibe (I?m the guy who smelt nice!)Absolutely spot on here. Funky, chilled, affordable and brilliantly located.

Visited on the on the 16.09.23 had steak and ale pie the food was lovely and manager and staff all very friendly, So decided to visit again on 18.09.23 all I can say was the fish and chips were shocking. My mum who is 88 wanted to treat us to a meal while we were on holiday. We ordered 3 fish and chips, when they arrived I had 2 pieces of fish all batter when I spoke to the waiter he said they had ran out. So he didn?t think it would be a problem if he gave me the 2 bits, I did say it would be nice to be asked. He did say did I want something different but I declined as I felt my evening was already ruined. The fish was of very poor quality my husband and Mum were also disappointed. Such a shame as our first visit was very good. I did speak to the the 2 members of staff and told them our visit was ruined. I do understand it?s not the staffs fault maybe they could look into who supplies the fish or maybe we were just unlucky.

Came here for a family meal. Staff ok but they had run out of a lot of the menu, no seafood plater, catch of the day or mash potato and a few other things. I had the mussels and got really sick within. Service charge is a joke as we jade to keep calling staff for drinks ect. Also pricy

Best pub in West bay, plenty of lovely seating, plenty of parking, two lovely beer gardens. They stock the must have local Palmers ales fantastic. The food is great, lots of seafood. Always clean and staff always fantastic. Child and dog friendly. If I could visit one last pub before I died it would be the West bay hotel, marvelous

Came for a meal with my family. Shocked by the poor service and quality of food they had run out of loads of food including mash. No catch of the day and the bowl of mussels where just cream no wine or garlic. Half the bowl was not open and I got food poisoning. The sea bream sauce was just canned tomatoes. No seasoning. I called and the staff just didn't know what to say or do and just said I'll tell the chef.

Food was delicious, service very friendly and great interior and location. Very much top drawer for pub food -- far better than other much pricier places nearby. Will be coming back amd would recommend.Food & drinks: Delicious mussels and burgers -- really well done to the team

Can't say anything about the rooms didn't see them. The pub itself is nicely decorated, the food is good and the pub is a very short distance from the beach.Food & drinks: As above.

The hotel is located across from the beach and the dramatic East Cliff, which featured in the award winning Broadchurch TV show. There is no lobby and we checked in to the hotel in the pub. My room was very spacious with an extra lounge area with a sofa bed. It would be a great fit for family with children. The room had a lovely seating area by the bay window overlooking the beach sand dunes and cliff across the road. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom very large. Free parking is provided to hotel guests across the street. The staff people were very friendly, but seemed more experienced with the pub duties than handling hotel guests needs. For example, they could not provide face tissues for my allergy, and I had to buy a face tissues box in a local shop. However, the staff helped carry the luggage and tried to accommodate our needs as best they could. The hot breakfast was good. Overall, a nice stay, perfectly located, for a visit of West Bay, the Jurassic coast and the sites where Broadchurch was filmed.
