Always have a meal here every year when we are in West Bay and the food continues to be reasonably priced. Both food and the service was good.

We did not stay at the George but we came for a meal, we both had steaks which were cooked perfectly, the rest of the meal was also superb and the prices are absolutely fantastic for the quality of food you get.
Staff were so friendly and helpful a big thank you to them for the service
Highly recommend a visit if you are in west bay

Food and drinks: We had the fish and chips. They were amazing . The fish was perfect.
Crispy batter chips were good
and beer was great. Would recommend this. Staff were great.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. £15 for an average Sunday dinner which they don't put enough gravy on it, knowing that you are going to ask for more gravy and then rinse you an extra £1 for a thimble of gravy. Holiday makers are definitely classed as second class citizens.

Can't really comment on the rooms as we were stopping at Parkdean. We thought we would give it a try one night and ended up eating most nights there. Excellent food, good portions, hot and delicious. Staff were very attentive, friendly and nothing too much trouble. Very busy all the time which I'm not surprised about but they always went out of their way to accommodate 7 of us each night. Can't recommend this place enough, absolutely brilliant. If we are down Dorset way again we will definitely be returning to The George.

Having a few days stay in West Bay we decided to visit The George for a drink, and a meal.
Service was very good, with friendly staff, efficiently enjoying their job.
The Palmers Ale "200" was on point, a bitter sweet smooth flavour with good taste.
The food was very reasonably priced,
The steak was cooked perfect
The Scallops and prawns was just perfect ??.
Definitely our sort of place, eell recommended

Great local pub in West Bay.
Walkability: Easy to get to. Flat walks from most locations. If you come from other areas of the Jurassic Coast, it's all down hill once you have defeated the hills to the East and West.
