We arrived completely famished from long hikes late on a hot sunny Sunday afternoon. The staff were so very welcoming, they recognised our desperation for refreshments and rushed to take our order and deliver drinks. We had to try the crab brioche and upgraded to cheesy fries which was no trouble whatsoever! The beetroot hummus was delivered at record pace and was delicious. The cod with prawns, leek and lobster bisque was mouthwatering delicious. The lobster bisque so good we ordered a separate pot for the chips.
They couldn?t have been more helpful and the food more delicious. We?d give 10 stars if we could. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful location with food for all, not simple to get to and would make sure you book. How about a climb up the cliff afterwards to burn off that brick sized brownie? ?

We had an excellent dinner this evening. We wanted to sit outside and there was a wait for an outside table. While we were waiting we had a drink in the cliff top garden, drinks only up there, amazing view of the beach and sunset. Our table was ready down below for dinner very quickly. Fantastic fish specials on the menu. The food was excellent as was the service. Perfect location and dining experience. We?ll be back.

We?re celebrating our 17 year wedding anniversary at the Anchor Inn?s adjacent Anchor cottage.
The pub is fantastic, with wonderful, friendly and switched on staff. Really great food
(lobster freshly caught from the bay tonight.) Front of house really easy going but with great attention to detail and professional approach to our requirements (Matt.)
Just a really lovely experience with a fantastic coastline and pristine beach and bay to enjoy.
Highly recommend. Although I?m a bit concerned about over bigging it up in case it?s fully booked the next time we want to come!

Enjoyed a perfect lunch with my wife, all of the staff were attentive the Australian waitress had a great sense of humour fabulous views from our outside table, perfect selection of well cooked and presented food excellent value for money is this day and age HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Really excellent food, and particularly creative vegetarian options too, which is so rare to find.
The only down side is their car park only has space for ~8 cars, and if you can?t find a space you have to pay £8 (!) to park in the beach car park ? although at least this gives you a £2 credit to use in the pub or pizza van.
Still glad to have come, and would have had to have paid the parking fee anyway as we wanted to go for a coastal walk from here.

Walking the costal path. Early lunch The anchor. The first observation is how friendly and helpful the front house members of staff are. Secondly the food quality was excellent. I had the lobster roll and chips. My wife the mussels in leek, cream and white wine. All very + good.
