My mum went into this shop today, I was surprised to hear that the super rude lady behind the till had a go at her for wanting to try on a pair of shoes. She said that she would have to have a disposable sock on, at which my mum asked for one, she then said they didn?t provide them and they expect customers to bring their own. Never ever of something so ridiculous in my life. I?ve worked in retail as a manager for over 10 years in very large companies, through covid when using disposable socks were guidance and even then you didn?t have a go at people and provided them. There was no sign and also considering shoes are worn and used it makes no sense. If you can return an item to the store how could you prove you had used disposable socks with the shoes? Very odd. The lady was extremely rude, loud and embarrassing. My dad could hear her and he was in the back of the shop. Two other women were next to my mum who were shocked by the ladies behaviour and left. My mum would have made a few purchases but will never go back in. Quite possibly the worst employee. I recommend a review of this persons working attitude, perhaps a secret shopper? How on earth this shop is still going with an employee with that behaviour is beyond me.
