Booked fairly last minute but location looked good and didn't disappoint. The views are stunning. Liked the online check-in procedure which meant on arrival just turn up and go look for your preferred pitch....we did come in September so lots to choose, not sure how easy that would be in the heart of the summer.
Great having the coastal path right on site and had a great walk into West Bay a couple of times and a stunning walk from the site to Golden Cap. Definitely recommend but it is hard going up and down some VERY steep hills :-)
Stayed a week but could have spent longer.
Site extremely clean and tidy everywhere. Pool nice, but water far too warm....one day felt like a bath!
Really enjoyed the week there, despite the wind and rain, but hey that's the British weather and we were up high...clues in the name of the site.
Highly recommended.

Unfortunately we left two days before we were due to leave but that was only because of the weather!
We love everything about Highlands End. The location, views?.it has it all.
But what really is impressive is the staff!
The weather wasn?t kind for us and the winds were so strong that we had to take down our awning.
Lewis went above and beyond to help us and we can?t thank him enough. All of the staff are amazing and this is what makes a holiday. You could be on the most beautiful site in the world but if you haven?t got the staff, that changes everything!
Just wish there were more ?Lewis?s? in the world!
Thank you ??

The facilities were on point so clean.
Great amount of space and made lots of friends too.
Short walk to West bay and to the beacon.
Great for kids Great for dogs too

Sadly it seems to have gone down hill since last year. We stayed in a static caravan. When we arrived the table was dirty, the toilet seat was broken and the sink tap was broken and leaking into the kitchen cupboard. To top it off we got the kids ready to go for a swim at 7am on sunday and the leisure club was not open with no reasoning or notice given. Many other families had the same issues with the club. I also met an annoyed member who told me this is happening more and more.
The toilet seat and tap were fixed very quickly and replaced with new however the cleaners should have reported it and it shouldn't be down to the paying customers to report such things.

Beautiful site. Clean facilities in the touring fields. Had to pick your own pitch by driving around.....some pitches overlook the beach below. Shop seemed small for the size of the site. Will definitely go back.

I never like to leave a less than positive review but on this occasion, I feel it is warranted.
We booked for 5 nights tent camping and unfortunately only got to do 1 night due to the winds.
The park itself is wonderful, the views are stunning, it's easy to get to and there are plenty of walks and things to do. The Spar shop is well equipped and reasonably priced. The facilities blocks are clean and well situated.
The only downside for us was the tent camping areas. We went down to the beach for the afternoon, and although it was slightly windy, it wasn't horrendous. We came back to find the camper awning next to us flattened, the tent opposite us broken, our tent ripped and another tent blowing in on itself. We had storm pegs and extra guy ropes as I'd already read the reviews about the wind but thought maybe people were being dramatic!
The gusts were around 22-29mph. We did all we could to help the others (who weren't there) and then tried to fix our tent. We then had a text from WLDH saying strong winds were forecast for the next 24 hours. Our tent and our friends tent wouldn't survive stronger winds, there is no windbreak and having already been damaged with 25mph winds, we made the decision to leave before it got worse. It really wasn't an easy decision to make as we really enjoyed the time we had there but we couldn't risk it with children.
On leaving, no one really cared or offered any empathy as to why. The wind isn't your responsibility, I understand being near a cliff top comes with risks and we appreciated the warning about the wind the next day. We're not inexperienced, we've camped in similar locations before. It was just a shame we had to leave with 4 nights left and no one even caring about it.
Perhaps we'll be back in the future... But not tent camping!

We stayed at Highlands End Holiday Park for 10 days camping with a group of friends and family, and we had a brilliant time. The location is stunning ? beautiful views all around and a really peaceful setting. The campsite itself is very clean and well maintained, with modern facilities and spotless toilets and showers, which made the stay really comfortable.
The swimming pool was a big highlight, and having the sauna and steam room as well was a lovely bonus after a day out exploring. There are also a couple of great playgrounds for kids, which kept them busy and happy throughout the stay. The park felt well organised and looked after, and the staff were helpful whenever we needed anything.
The only small negative was the football golf, which was on a slanted pitch and made it a bit awkward to play ? but aside from that, everything else was excellent. Another big plus is the location, with plenty of nearby beaches and lovely places to visit, so there?s always something to do.
Overall, Highlands End is a fantastic campsite, great for both families and groups, and we?d definitely come back again.

Always enjoy a visit to Highlands.
The site gets busy so important to book in advance. We were on a serviced pitch which was level and suited our needs.
The shower blocks feel a little bit dated now though and some investment in these is about due.
The little restaurant onsite is nice with a limited menu.
Great area to walk the dog and some great little walks from site.

Nice atmosphere & location. The kids entertainer was very good. The food & service at the pub is a bit hit & miss. Views are amazing.
