We feel well rested and content after a week at west bay holiday park. No.62 Ocean Sands, private park home, was absolutely fabulous and a credit to owners. The Boathouse staff were fabulous, TY to all. The steak night was great had a lovely meal. Held a 30th birthday celebration on the sunday for our daughter, staff very helpful. Unfortunately the beef was very chewy and the roast potatoes not very roasted rather small and little in quantity, but we had extra gravy to soften the beef so job done. Perhaps a visit to local pub for a roast would be more appetizing, but we ate at Boathouse so family member could take her doggies in as they are dog friendly in certain areas of the restaurant. The park itself is clean, situated by a harbour and amazing views. Reception pleasant, welcoming and helpful. The swimming pool not so nice, needs an injection of cash to repair/do up. The structure is rusting badly at the bottom, there were little black bits over the floor, some floating, staff should be more aware of cleanliness. The tiles around the top area of larger pool very dirty. Did not like the steps up to changing rooms, the showers very poor, so yes some money spent is required, we did not stay long or visit again. The best part of the swim pool was the playlist streaming ;) Would we return, probably not as would want to stay further up the coast to explore expanse of Dorset a little more, but would defo recommend West Bay Holiday Park.

We understood we had booked the same caravan as last year but this was not the case. We were offered a most inferior site. MEL came to our rescue thank goodness and eventually after a long delay a suitable caravan was found. It was not v clean and there was no bed linen. We will not be visiting West Bay Resort again which is a shame as we have been going there for 10 years.

The first time to Bridport loved it. West Bay was an amazing lovely harbour and shops. Reminded me of Brixham Harbour in Devon will be back one day. The caravan park was clean and tidy, people friendly, great fish, and chip shop up the road could tell it was great by the queue. Pets welcome on site with no issues

We ate every day in the on site restaurant and the staff were so friendly & helpful, the food was delicious . Would like to thank Louise and Paloma for always taking the time to chat and make us welcome it's people like these that make a holiday. Would highly recommend West bay as a beautiful holiday destination.

In the restaurant, an egg arrived with the vegan breakfast, but all was sorted quickly with a new, freshly cooked one; not just the egg slid off the plate. All the other meals were hot and served quickly. Thank you Louise!

We had breakfast at the Boathouse and Louise served us. She was an absolute ray of sunshine on a really blustery grey day. Her personality and service was so friendly and amazing, I would give her 5 stars alone! The breakfasts themselves were really nice, just enough to fill you up and really easy to order. The food was really delicious, we would definitely come here again for breakfast

It's an ATM. It works. It charges £1.95 for the pleasure. At least it makes it very clear it's going to charge you.

DO N?T book their glamping if you?re a family of more than 4. I spent £1279 for a week stay at park dean seaview glamping for my family. They advertised this as a beautiful seaview glamping for up to 6 people. Firstly, the only reason you have a seaview is because the it?s situated at the furtherest point from any amenities at the top of a very steep heel. Which also means that if any of your party have mobility issues this is NOT suited for and was NOT advised unsuitable for people is mobility or disability issues. Secondly, it is NOT safe nor suitable for parties more than 4. You have 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living area. However, in order to put the sofa bed out you have to completely block off the door to the double bedroom. This means the people staying in the double would have to climb over the sofa bed to leave the room. This is neither safe not practical. Also the person/s on the sofa bed can not fully extend the sofa bed as it is too long for the space given. As we were holidaying with my mother who is 73 and registered disabled I spoke to reception to explain my concerns and explaining that I had been missold the holiday and that the glamping was not suitable for a party of my size. They then offered us a caravan. Which after a 5 hour drive and my children having to wait around to start their holiday while our accommodation got sorted I was happy to take anything that we all fitted in. However, the caravan we was given was one of their lower older grade caravans and cost only £800 for the week leaving £479 between the costs which Parkdean called an ?admin? free for the exchange. I feel this fee was very unfair. Had I booked a caravan I would have only paid £800 instead I have been charge an admin fee for something that is park deans error and not mine. I have spoken to several people who have refused to issue a refund and have only offered a Parkdean credit. But after my experience I will NEVER use Parkdean again.

Everything was wonderful here, been coming since the 80?s when it was a Haven. Hasn?t changed too much, so perfect for my nostalgia. We had a great few days. Special shoutout to Dave in the touring hut/office, he was very friendly and helpful when we asked for help and advice. And also a thanks to the two Parkdean employees who came to our rescue this morning when the van wouldn?t start! Unfortunately didn?t get their names We will be back. Kind regards, Shaun & Eloise and Sonny & Ria

Is this park perfect?. No, but nothing is! Is this park great for families, and an excellent base to explore an absolutely stunning part of the country, yes it is! We were based in van 10, breedy down, which is listed as a 6 birth, but with us ( 2 adults, a 4 yr old and a 1 yr old) it was super tiny! But that didn?t bother us, all we did is sleep there, and although small, it was perfectly fine for a base. If you plan to spend loads of time in the van, I?d suggest upgrading to something a little bigger. The staff on the park are all incredibly helpful, always happy, and you can have a laugh with them. The swimming pool supervisor, whose name I forget, but a bald chap with a beard, who says his hair is on upside down is an absolutely smashing chap, and he is one of many on site! The entertainment team who do the kids disco and starland Krazy absolutely run socks off, and our 4 year old loved it! The early disco and entertainment for little ones is great. The local area is utterly stunning, and there are plenty of really good local local places to eat, and the boathouse restaurant attached to the park does great takeaway pizza! The breakfast in the boathouse is also good value, with 2 mega breakfasts for £15, and it was of a really good quality. The park itself could could with a little updating here and there, hence me saying it isnt perfect, but it?s nothing that would get in the way of your holiday. The only negatives, were our 4 year old, every night, waited to see sparkle, one of the mascots. Who doesn?t visit this park. Parkdean, you need to get a sparkle costume at west bay! The only other note, is swimming is 50% book upfront, and 50% walk ins. This can be a bit hit and miss, as the bookings are taken weeks in advance, and the walk ups require you to be qued up at least 15 minutes before a session. No one?s fault, as the pool isn?t huge, but definitely worth noting if your tiny dudes are keen for a swim. Great stay, great park, great staff. Thanks for having us.

Absolutely brilliant Parkdean resort. Fantastic team of staff working together to make it a memorable place to be. Massive round of applause goes to the entertainment team- Matt, Olivia and Shiobhan. Together they created some fantastic memories and stunning liberty performances. Brilliant shows from other acts such as Andrew and Allan's electric 80's and Paul C's comedy show. Fun for all the family with The Groovy UV show and brilliant accommodation. Plenty to do on site and around in the local are. Could not think of a better place to go. Will definitely be returning next year with hopefully the same entertainment team.

We normally holiday in Devon and Cornwall with our own tourer, however we fancied something different so we booked a glamping tent. Check in easy and efficient and was soon settling in and having a well earned drink on the decking outside. The tent itself was well equipped with 2 bedrooms, lovely shower room , kitchenette and lounge. We knew the next day we were there was going to be drizzly and misty so we got DVD's out ready to chill. Upon checking TV we found out there was no DVD player as was advertised. Typical. I trotted down to reception to be told not all tents have them, and when I asked where do we put our clothes, I was told ' you're in a tent '. Yes that's right folks there's nowhere to hang clothes or any drawers at all. Poor reception team member here. Anyway later on in the afternoon 2 young ladies turned up and asked if everything was ok, so we mentioned the lack of DVD and they wrote all our queries down. Low and behold at 9am the next morning, maintenance came and dropped off a dvd player. Can't ask for more than that. On our last night we went to the boathouse and I asked about a New noodle dish on the menu which came with an oriental sauce. Now the wife fancied this but because she has a coconut intolerance I asked the staff if this particular dish contained coconut. Dunno was the answer and was told to go on the app and check out ingredients on there. Have they not heard of Natasha's law and if not WHY? We left and ate elsewhere. Good swimming pool, good games room and a nice little show bar round things up.
