On 29th June 2025 I went into the Vodafone Store in Bournemouth high Street. I saw two female members of staff sat at desks working on screens with no apparent customers around them so I politely asked if one of them was available to help me to which one of them responded with ?no we?re not free and actually there are two customers ahead of you in the queue? said in a very flustered and stressed manner clearly irritated by my presence so I said nothing and backed away slowly looking dismayed at the lack of Customer Service. Whilst waiting for someone else to serve me I realised she was the Manager! Not a very good example and the guy who did end up serving me wasn?t very friendly either. I still couldn?t see these two imaginary customers she was supposed to be dealing with but either way I called 191 to let Vodafone know about my unpleasant experience as she?s costing them customers.

We were really impressed by the helpful and friendly service we received. One of the staff members, a guy (didn?t catch his name), went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. He was attentive, polite, and genuinely made us feel welcome. It?s always great to see staff who care about the customer experience.

You'll see a number of recent reviews here offering praise for this store and glazing, in particular, the service of one particular member of staff, but I'm here to tell you... it's true, all of it.
I went into the Bournemouth store twice in recent weeks with a not-so standard fibre broadband installation situation (it's still not clear as I write this, but that is more a third party issue - City Fibre and not Vodafone). The assistance I received both times from the same individual was succinct, incredibly helpful and what I particularly needed with my enquiries. Lucie's (going with the spelling on the badge so hoping I've got it right) name has appeared in multiple positive reviews here and I truly believe will continue to do so for as long as she wants to remain at the store.
I've worked in hospitality management and customer service for 10+ years and Lucie's style, demeanour and knowledge has led to one of my most impressive customer experiences in an age. Radiating a casual confidence and demonstrating a distinct proficiency in Vodafone's terms, policies and procedures I was lucky to interact with her twice to prove it's most definitely no 'fluke'. An obvious and clear credit to the place and I'm convinced she will be to any other workplace she finds herself in throughout, what I imagine will be an impressive career. (I'm gonna guess it won't be in shutter repair out of choice!)
It also cannot be left unsaid that the other 3 staff who greeted, spoke and asked about my visits those days were also terrifically friendly and welcoming. Most certainly feels like it's a workplace attracting the right staff and forming a competent team at the top of their game.
