I got myself locked in the bathroom and the lock would then not unlock from the inside. One of my friends went to get maintenance and they took almost 30 mins to get me out, bully that time my friend had managed to unlock the door with a spoon. The rooms are falling apart, you?ll get locked in your bathroom, the service takes there sweet time. By far the worst hotel I?ve been in. What I have to say to you is: don?t book here!Disgrace

On arrival, the receptionist was professional and very friendly. Our room was clean and tidy and we even had our room serviced (something we haven't always had at other hotels) The food was delicious especially the breakfast as the mushrooms, beans and eggs all tasted flavoursome along with the orange juice. The waiters were helpful and tidy. The swimming pool was clean and the sauna was hot. We had a lovely stay and definitely plan to return. Thank you all.Rooms: Clean and tidy.Nearby activities: Russell Coates Art & Gallery Museum was worth a visit.

Paid for balcony room wasnt satisfied with what was provided door to balcony was broken so could hear the wind and rain all night, the tv was tiny as well as a broken remote, bathroom was tiny with only a shower.Rooms: Poor quality a premier in would have been better especially for the cost of the roomsFood & drinks: Food and drinks are expensive, just a small bottle of budwizer and double vodka and coke was £15

Used the pool with my 4 year old, I wasn?t offered towels, I thought they were downstairs. As we got downstairs, I realized there weren?t any there either, but went in the pool anyway, my toddler had already undressed. I thought I could ask the next pool attendant I fund. Almost two hours passed no one checked the pool. Called from the changing rooms asking if they could kindly bring some but I was told I needed to come to reception. I explained I was on my own with a shivering 4 year old, but nothing they were not prepared to help. We got dresses from wet, went upstairs and when confronted the receptionist, she was completely unapologetic, unemphatic and rude. She suggested it was all my fault for not asking and that she wouldn?t bring one because I didn?t pay for it, As if paying a couple of pounds was the problem! I will never go there again, The facilities were also dated, and the swimming pool was cold! Horrible experienceNearby activities: Beach

Came on a coach break to celebrate my birthday and to do some walking. The single room allocated to me was awful..smelled musty and damp as soon as i walked into the cupboard..er..i mean room. It was a tiny scruffy room..with a window overlooking fire escape..bins..and extractor fans. I didnt look at the bathroom..I went straight downstairs and asked for an upgrade. The receptionist Maria was lovely..and although i had to pay an extra £20 A night..i ended up in room 202..which was a sea view double room with double walk in shower and much nicer than the other room. The hotel itself was generally clean and warm.I used the small gym ( which i had to myself for a hour). It was adequate for me as i just wanted to use a treadmill and x trainer. Gym overlooks the squash courts.Pool looked lovely but i didn't go in.I have to mention 3 members of staff that were absolutely lovely..friendly..helpful..polite and amusing. Dianna on the bar was lovely and memorised my order from the first evening. Luis and Neeta in the dining room were so lovely too and made my stay more enjoyable. The meals were lovely..a choice each evening. The breakfasts were a buffet with all the usual fruits..pastries..cereals and hot choice ( although could have been hotter) eggs were amazing..bacon..sausages..beans..mushrooms..hash brown..toast..Thankyou too for the hardworking housekeepers who always seemed to be busy cleaning.Obviously not much open in February..but i had 2 lovely long walks..to sandbanks ( along sea front) about 10 miles return. Then to mudeford flats in the other direction again along sea front about 13 miles return.Pier about 15 mins walk away ( nice cafe on end)Great museum and art gallery (Russell Coates) 10 min walk away. Pianist playing classical music in grand hall was an amazing touch.

I've visited leisure facilities (swimming pool and sauna). My overall experience was it's quite dated and needed to be updated. The swimming pool is on the cold side. The doors between the swimming pool and outside terrace couldn't be fully locked which probably had an effect on the temperature of the pool and the temperature of the room. I had the swimming pool to myself which was very nice. But it looked like this area started to be redeveloped, so some elements were new and modern and others old and quite worn. The sauna was ok but again quite dated. The changing room looked like it was half renewed and half not. Lockers didn't have any keys so there was no way to leave your items locked securely. I had to take my valuables with me to the swimming pool area. There is only one toilet with no radiator, so it is very cold. There are no changing cabins so the only place to change is in the tiny and cold toilet cubicle. Continue with the redevelopment and it could be such a nice place to visit for locals and tourists.
