Hi, I?ve stayed here for 2 nights , once i entered my room there was a really bad smell, so I changed my room and everything was good till i experienced spiders in the room in every corner and by the bathroom door, when i arrived i asked the receptionist to get someone to help with the bags because the bags were really heavy but no one came to help she just ignored me. I?d give this hotel an overall rating of 3/10. I don?t recommend coming to this hotel in bournemouth there are better hotels other than this, and no one help during checkout with bags nor anything. They don?t help when u ask for help they will just ignore u. This shouldn?t be a 4 star hotel at all. First and last time in this hotel, very bad experience.

We had an afternoon tea experience here and absolutely loved it! The food and service were very good. Nothing was to much trouble. The scones were home made and warmed in the oven, so much better than cold shop bought ones. Beautifully decorated, easy to park. Our only regret is we didn't stay at this hotel, we were at a different one which was no where near as nice.

Enjoyed a delicious afternoon cream tea here. David, who looked after us was amazing and he made the whole experience exceptional. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were delicious. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants an afternoon treat. Thank you.

Where to start. £15 parking per day on their premises as an extra. Lift out of service, indicated on my booking I had a 1 year old, so had two sets of stairs to take push chair and luggage. No staff assistance offered. Room was so small for 3 of us. Air con didn?t work, only option was a fan that was loud. Window couldn?t open because of guttering on adjacent building. Cob webs across the ceiling (see photos) . Location is 5 minutes from the beach.

room was clean, staff were friendly. stayed in a suite which supposedly had Air conditioning but on arrival it was faulty and not working and requested it to be looked at and felt to be fobbed off with excuses during our stay. Paid extra for the breakfast which was nice again though the food and drink could have been stocked quicker and it took a while to get seated as noone was manning or checking the entrance where we had to wait to be seated.

Nice hotel and friendly staff but the only negative is that breakfast is not served until 08:00 hrs which would put me off due to being on a business trip.

We were given afternoon tea here as a present and were most disappointed. The seating inside was tired and worn in places! The sandwiches looked nice but were starting to dry out! Some of the cakes were still frozen in the middle. The scones were doughy and the macarons soggy. The girl who served us was pleasant but we were not offered Prosecco by then we had enough and left!

Very clean Hotel , friendly staff and very helpful. Great location to town and beach. Hotel restaurant has a fantastic chef serving high standard food, hot, tasty and well presented. Compliments to the chef!!!! Would recommend highly. Had a great stay in this Hotel and will return. Thank you all at The Orchid!

Myself and my husband visited this hotel 2 nights mid-week. Check-in was quick and unproblematic. Young guy at reception made us input our car details into the tablet before explaining that parking was £15 per night- which we felt should have been explained beforehand considering the steep cost and later finding out that the road directly outside was free from 5pm-9pm.
The rooms were on the smallish side despite being classed as a King Room with seating area (comprising of 1 chair and not what was advertised). However, the room was clean and had AC, which was needed.
Location was perfect, a 5 min walk to both the town centre and the beach.

Solid hotel. The price was a bit much for what you get but it?s peak season Bournemouth so that?s just generally what you have to pay. The best thing about the hotel was the quality of the air conditioning!

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with family. Overall lovely looking hotel with a beautiful reception, bar and breakfast area. Friendly receptionist and staff, great breakfast and decent sized room. Also located very close to the beach and not far from the town centre.
Only thing that let us down was the quality of the mattress which was extremely poor. We could feel the springs and the mattress was sinking in the middle which was not pleasant to sleep on. If the mattresses were replaced we would definitely consider coming back.
