Thank you so much to the very kind receptionist who called a taxi for me yesterday afternoon.I was so very lost and she was so very helpful. My sense of direction is appalling - there was really no hope.I'm not even a member! And I did catch my train.Thank you again.

Good golf course, brilliant condition considering the weather we've had. Fairways were dry and greens running true. Only 1 green was showing signs of the weather. Chap in the shop was very friendly and informative.People mentioned the dog walkers and we did see quite a few on the front 9 but at no time were we held up or felt inconvenienced by any of them. They all seemed to be checking for players hitting and keeping to the edges of holes. Didn't see any dog mess as previously reviewed. Well worth the green fee and will definitely return.

Much like many have already brought up as I can see, the false rest assurances you get regarding this club you are given and then a couple of days later they?re calling in to mug you for MORE money given no empathy even after paying off what they claimed was the full amount you owed them. The price of this place was well over what it?s worth - no option to take golf only and you end up paying 1299/year for a course worth nothing past 750 annually. It?s a public play area where you are trying to play when all you get are bloody dog walkers, pedestrians, picnickers and even bloody gypsies taking the ground and ruining the place which would actually have more potential if you could wipe them off the course.Worst of all there?s no true golf soul at this course - finish your round and everyone bugs off, the clubhouse is shut by the time you finish and you have to use their bar accommodating the gym and spa members and another warning that they don?t like to give you a heads up on, if like me you work Monday to Friday, Sundays they will not allow you to tee off after 12 (any time of year) as they give the priority to members of public and dog walkers who love to ruin it further.3 stars for location as it?s easy to get to for people like myself however that in itself brings the issue of ease of access for members of public. For this price, look a little further and join a true golf course you won?t regret within the first month of being there.

I was told expressly I would be able to cancel my membership if I moved to another country (my partner is from Australia and we weren't sure when we would move over). Our plans got unfortunately expedited due to bereavement.Rather than follow what was outlined over the phone. I have been told I would need to show proof of address and still be charged a month extra. Contrary to what I was told initially. Particularly frustrating as we would have just opted for the flex membership if we had known. To make matters worse, they have also sent an email demanding £1,616.00 for the remainder of the membership we have already told them we would be cancelling. My partner who has just lost her mum, read the email and well...I trust that I wont be charged that full amount, and it will likely just be the month extra. Regardless it shows a shocking lack of compassion or thought. The gym and facilities themselves are alright, they are fine for what they are meant to offer. However, the service has just been downright shocking.

Nice staff and relaxing place to do a work out. Facilities are a bit dated but adequate and the glass surround makes it pleasant. Pool area is nice though be careful on the steps going down. Awful smell of perfume/scent being pumped into the sauna and steam room. Barely usable. Not sure why they think that is necessary.

Staff need training as some will let you in to do day pass for £15 and other staff tell you, you need to be attending with a member. Surely money is money and its rude to turn away people if your not a member. I was visiting on buisness trip so don't want a membership as won't be in town for long. Considering £15 is much higher than other gyms and spas in area I would expect them to let people in they want to pay that price. Website isn't clear about needing a membership. Doesn't have many photos of club facilities.

The state of the golf course was shocking. The tee boxes had some long grass, the fairways were in awful condition with lots of rocky/stony areas. The greens, although were true, were marked up badly with dog paw prints and mud. The bunkers had massive stones in them. All of that for £40 what a terrible shame

Played golf here on Sunday. Lovely course and the greens were in great condition. The problem is slow play, we teed off at 9.52 and after 1hr we?d played 3 holes ! We?d played 9 holes in 2hrs 40 mins and walked in. Such a shame as the course good. But it really needs a couple of people out on the course moving players along. So £40 for 9 holes ! but hey, I couldn?t take the pain of waiting on every single shot. Would love to come back, but doubtful, a negative experience.

Disappointed, lodge itself was okay if smelling a little damp after some heavy rain. Breakfast on 2nd day was a disappointment as no tables available at first due to golfers and leisure centre users filling the small dining/lounge area. The poor waitress was on her own and completely over worked. As others have said signage to the lodges from the main road needs to be improved.

What a lovely place to stay. We had a great stay at Meyrick Park. We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 teenage kids. Our room was a superior with a sofa bed for the kids, we had a call before we checked in asking if we were happy with a double sofa bed or would we prefer an extra pull out bed for the second child to give us more room and make it more comfortable, we gladly accepted and thought it was a really thoughtful touch which we appreciated. The room was clean, quiet and all amenities were perfect. We had a lovely meal in the club Pulse bar and again, the staff couldn?t have been more attentive. Would recommend to anyone looking for a seaside break and a comfortable stay.

The highlight of our stay at the Lodge at Meyrick was the staff. We have stayed in hotels all over the world and by far the staff here were the most genuine and friendliest we have ever encountered. We were were greeted by two different ladies at reception, one booking in and one booking out, and they both exuded genuine friendliness. We encountered a housekeeper who was very nice and the lady at breakfast provided a great service in a professional and friendly manner. Hospitality basics seem to have been lost in a lot of places, but not at this establishment. You have an awesome team at the Lodge at Merrick Park.

Just returned here from a wonderful 4 days with my partner. Nothing was too much trouble, from providing a fan when the room was hot to the way we could mix and match breakfasts. It is situated on Meyrick Park, a health and golf club about 10 mins walk from Bournemouth down a path that if a little infirm can be slippery when wet. Our room was on the ground floor at the front but had everything we needed. The club has an 18 hole golf course , a leisure club ( included in the price ) a gym ( also included ) and a bar and restaurant. This served reasonably priced meals and drinks all day and obviously breakfast. I loved the breakfast as cooked fresh and to your specifications. The continental offering was a bit disappointing, no breads, but not especially worried. Also had 2 delicious evening meals cooked fresh. The staff are amazing, can't remember their names but Ellie was lovely on Reception and Michelle the duty manager also very helpful and friendly. I love the pool I felt very comfortable as it was never too busy a real plus and we were able to swim this morning before coming home. We found the whole experience civilised and peaceful and not sure I'd want to stay anywhere else in Bournemouth as I felt so much at home there. Thanks for everything

Initially was disappointed with the room, it was tiny, no space to move and difficult to get to the room. I mentioned it to the receptionist, Bianca. She spoke to the manager and they updated us to better room and easy to access at no extra cost. Also gave us 2 drinks vouchers. After this it was great , they couldn't do enough for us. The bar was nice as well.
