Converted church, quite impressive. However, sandwiches/meal deals are not very attractively laid out (even compared to the average Tesco Express).

I lived in Charminster/used the Tesco Express there for years with no issues. Yet having lived in Westbourne for just 6 weeks I must say this is by far the worst branch of Tesco Express I have ever used anywhere.
On entering you are shadowed by a security guard whenever you go in/first thing in the morning to last thing at night. The layout of the shop (an old deconsecrated church) is odd to say the least/the first aisle is blocked off directly - no doubt from reasons of security and shop-lifters (the security guards? ). Yet it means you have to zig zag round.
Worse, the staff often complain/moan if you ask for service rather than using the card-only self service check-outs. On 3 occasions I have been informed ?just wait? on politely having asked can someone please serve. Indeed, earlier today - and the reason for this review - is I was forced to wait several minutes at till while the only staff member helped someone at a self-service check-out with a protracted issue. I asked another staff member in another aisle could she help. Yet I was told to wait for the original staff member as the second girl just continued staking shelves (seemingly priority over serving customers). And when I was finally served 6 minutes - I had not complained - the member of staff barked at me ??I only have one pair of hands?. What a bizarre attitude. Indeed, I SHOULD have walked straight out without my shopping. Yet the sheer level of rudeness caught me off guard.
Lastly, I see that new security screens have been installed at the tills. I have never seen this in any other Tesco express Yet it?s likely a clue to the iffy attitude along with those security guards. Maybe it?s a shop prone to theft/customer violence ? Yet that doesn?t excuse being rude to all the decent ones. Anyway, I will be walking that bit further to take my custom elsewhere in future. No issue with Tesco - never had a problem anywhere else. Yet so much wrong with this branch - the entire place just seems to have an air of hostility/mistrust towards customers - the ONLY people any shop exists for.
A O stars from me if were it possible. Not a happy customer.

It was supposed to close at 11pm but it was closed at 10.43pm. Security said it was closed early because they are ?short staffed? ?

Really disappointed, a situation occurred earlier today where a woman went out her way to be publicly rude and aggressive towards me and the staff proceeded to stand and watch however came over at one point after the woman picked up my items and told you both ?to knock it off?, confused as to why I?ve minded my business and a woman is harassing me yet no one helps but tell me to stop? The worker who came over and did not help was a woman with brown hair and a body camera. It?s not that difficult to see someone clearly uncomfortable and help.

I visited this store late afternoon on Wednesday 19th July.I was hoping to return a parcel via a locker.Unfortunately this Tesco did not have this facility.The young woman in the store was so very helpful and kind.She told me which Tesco I need and the bus number to get there.In my opinion she went above and beyond.

Two prices on the shelf , im sure that's discrimination.Begging outside the door , then when you pay at self service its begging for charity money .Then there's the price fixing , I think someone needs to be held accountable
