Wonderful wonderful care and service received here. The lady testing my eyes did a great job but we could not get my eyesight correct, so she has sent an urgent referral to hospital. I will move there for all future eye and hearing tests.

I paid for two pair of glasses within a time period of six months to take advantage of the their second pair of lens half price as these were very expensive lens. After a short period of time one of my lens appeared to need re polished. I had Previously given one of the staff (Alex) an excellent review first time round. Alex knew me fairly well, as I?d spoke to her on a few occasions. She acknowledged my presence when standing in the shop as she knew all my details and was aware I wanted her as a member of staff to address my issue. I had made it obvious I was hoping to talk to her after she was finished with her customer. I waited and waited and was prepared to wait as long as it took her to finish with her customer. To my embarrassment she began to blank me each time she passed without a friendly smile and zero communication what so ever. She was certainly aware of my presence. After 20 minutes or more I decided to allow another member of staff deal with my problem which he addressed very quickly by having the lens re- polished. I was about to pay almost £2,000 pounds for a hearing aid with Specsavers next week but I now feel I will now reconsider who I purchase my hearing aid and future glasses from. I was made up as a NHS hero several years ago from Royal Bournemouth Trust for my dedication to patient care and my friendly communication skills and this is not the way to treat your clients under your care.

Had a great eye test, the staff are very thorough and provide great assistance when picking frames. Hajot was especially helpful. I will be returning.

Glasses I got weren?t checked they are blurred more with them on?.
The procedure I was told I?d have was different to the one I got.
Felt pressured into buying lots of aftercare product like eye masks and drop ?
The optician gives them to you but doesn?t explains the price so a very forced sell

Went for eye test the doctor explained everything very Well, and I was very suprised with it. The issue was when choosing the glasses I felt the presure to choose very quickly so I end up to choose a second pair that was almost the same as the first one. Then they gave me the wrong info that I would pay for only glare protection only in one pair to presure me to buy 2 for 1, only after I left the shop I realized that I paid for both. When i come back to ask to rectify they said that was not the promotion, a bit of naughty marketing to make you pay more. I end up to return the second pair, which made me come extra times to the shop and when i pick it up the glasses were dirty out from the box and the staff was not as nice as when they were making me buy the 2 for 1 promotion. I would suggest anyone to choose other store where things are more transparent and they actually no presure you into sale.

I have just had a very mixed treatment at Specsavers Bournemouth. Hojat did a pre-treatment check - although I could not hear him say that because he mumbled. Things got worse. I wasn't instructed which seat to sit at - two seats in front of two machines. I wasn't told before the pressure test - It was very shocking. I have had this test before and ALWAYS been informed first. This prepares you for the shock and allows you the opportunity to try and keep your eye open. Not being told first was very upsetting. Then during the OCT test I realised that I was not focusing on anything as the light I had been following was gone, and no word from Hojat where I should focus - ridiculous. These test are designed to be administered by trained professions in a specific way - not self service - look where you want because operator is too distracted to care. I have been a Specsavers customer for many many years and NEVER had such bad and indifferent behaviour as Hojat displayed. What made it worse is that his Manager stood along side him and did not listen to my complaint. If he had listened to what I was saying he would have understood that his reply was irrelevant. It is indefensible not to explain to a patient a procedure you are to do. It is indefensible not to treat a customer with dignity. I thoroughly do not recommend this cliquey couple of poor clinicians. Anyone can make a mistake an apology and change of attitude could have changed everything. Luckily all other staff members managed to turn my upset around. Alexandra spent a very long time choosing glasses with my Husband and myself and really listened. She was also very in tune with what suited us as individuals. Martins who is a Trainee was excellent, both my Husband and I appreciated his kindly professionalism.
So going into Specsavers Bournemouth is a VERY MIXED EXPERIENCE.
