Decent gym with everything I needed for a full workout.
All the equipment was top-notch, well-maintained, and fairly tidy. No complaints at all - just a good, reliable place to train.
Would definitely recommend!

Gym is easily accessible and if you pick your times most kit is available.
That's about the extent of the good points.
Chronically under-maintained, particularly in the gents changing room which has the most disgusting bathrooms short of a festival portaloo. Urinal cakes?
Spin class is ridiculously loud. Blonde Female PT thinks she owns the place clogging up kit.
My feeling is the small things are overlooked, but these go a long way to form the approach of management in the eye of the clientele.

Convenient central location, well equipped, usually good equipment availability, spacious, good temperature control, gym soundtrack not overly intrusive, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, excellent locker room and showering facilities, high level of cleanliness, and great value for money. Having been a member of numerous gyms during the past 40 years, PureGym Bournemouth is by far the best. I'm somewhat surprised by some of the more negative reviews, and don't recognise their concerns. The club often offers generous new member discounts, so give it a go...

Good gym poor staff. The gym has had some recent investment which has improved things, but the changing rooms remain in a poor state of repair. The biggest let down is the staff. They are unfriendly and unwelcoming. Particularly the bald man around 50 and the blonde female PT. The class music is also played extremely loudly to the detriment of other users. Would recommend going elsewhere, particularly if you value friendly staff. Or want a more inclusive environment if you are neurodiverse.

recently upgraded lockers and equipment. It can be a bit messy / dirty, but in general for 16.99 per month (offpeak) I think its great value. if the cleanliness could be improved I would rate higher.

I've used a few PureGyms now, and this one is my favourite.
For starters, the membership is very good value, the gym is a comfortable size, and the ladies' changing room is clean & was recently refurbished. Even though the branch is popular, I never had to wait to get on the equipment, and there was enough space for bodyweight exercise training. It's also a friendly branch, generally clean, and it has two class studios, to accommodate a wide range of classes.
Highly recommended.

I honestly wanted to rate this the lowest possible rating, but the equipment was recently upgraded and it has some decent machines.
The whole place has somewhat of a stench as air is never circulating, the toilets/showers in the gents are always leaking, including for at least the last 3 weeks, however the worst is the noise which completely overwhelms the whole gym. At any time you have a class in the middle section playing loud music, you have someone taking a spinning and screaming at the top of their voice and then the normal gym music loudly playing.
All three are playing totally different genres and it is extremely unpleasant to be there. I am a member for convenience and if they don't change something members will continue to leave.
If you can go somewhere else, you really should, unless the team actually start to address the concerns of more and more people!
