First of all, my fiancé and I are completely in love with the final design of the ring and the constant support and care Carrie showed us. We walked into Michael Matthew?s shop (the first reason was because we saw a dog in the shop) and ended up sitting down and talking to Carrie through cost and what we were looking for. I was introduced to a complete different design I had in mind which I fell in love with and this was all because Carrie really took the time to understand what my fiancé and I were both looking for. In the end, i left it all down to Carrie and my fiancée to plan. As the picture shows, my ring is absolutely beautiful! Carrie and my fiancé designed this ring together keeping in mind my ask for a think band/mount. This was all designed and made in time for our holiday in Iceland which was where the proposal happened. Carrie has truly made our vision come to life!
I also want to thank the manager in the store for helping us resize my ring as well as always offering a free clean on the ring whenever I need it.
What a lovely jewellers - we are so glad we walked into your shop on that random Saturday in December!

Had such an incredible experience with Kirsty from Michael Matthews - after a really negative experience with another jewellery shop, I was rather worried about being pushed into a sale, but Kirsty was super patient, took time to understand our needs and ordered in a similar ring to help us understand sizing before placing an order. She is really knowledgable, understanding and kept me updated throughout the whole process - I cannot recommend MMJ enough! Thanks Kirsty and team.

I have bought multiple items from here and every time we get excellent service, no pushy sales, we are given all the time we need to decide if it's the right piece for us if not then they will source it or have it made.

After visiting many stores, we found the perfect engagement ring at Michael Matthew?s. The staff were knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and fun, making the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. They helped us design a stunning ring that ticked all of the boxes. The design process was fascinating, attending several appointments where they showcased each element of the ring to enable us to piece together ourselves.
While visiting, not only did we get treated to complimentary coffee, while we were discussing existing jewellery we had (family heirlooms) - the lovely Carrie offered to clean them for us, free of charge!
Special thanks to Antony & Carrie for making the experience so special for us.
I would highly recommend Michael Matthew?s for anyone looking for a meaningful and beautiful piece of jewellery. We will be returning for all of our jewellery requirements

Matt was an absolute gent when I went into his store with a very inexpensive watch looking for guidance on the entry level market. I would have understood if he had told me that this market is not his interest and sent me on my way but we sat and chatted for over half an hour discussing the watch world, collecting, and the best options I had to get the most for the only watch in my collection. After following Matt?s advice I got more than I was expecting and managed to begin my humble collection. Thank you Matt for giving me your time and showing a genuine interest in my situation. 10/10

I would 100% recommend this jewellers! They sort both my wife?s engagement and wedding rings as well as a few other things I needed!Carry was amazing and understood every I needed and kept in contact with us about the rings.The other staff are just as great, when you are in there they make you feel at home!

Bought my Son a Cartier Santos at a very good price just before Christmas and the service was impeccable with the staff making the boutique feel very much like a family affair despite the high value and quality products they sell.Already in discussions with the team for some additional pieces to add to the collection in 2024 and the advice from Matt very much based on the best investment for me rather than maximum profit for him ??????

Went into shop to confirm authenticity of a Rolex that I had brought privately, expecting to be shown the door, but on the contrary couldn?t have been more helpfulI, I hesitate to add that I had been into the shop to inquire if they had anything to offer on this particular model some weeks before.It was to be a gift to my son for the achievement he had gained in his career, so I decided to buy privately because of the time scale, I can?t thank them for the assurance that they gave me, thank you!!Believe me, if I require another watch they will be my preference to anybody else and I have another son that believes he will be entitled to a Rolex in the not to distance future.

I have now brought 3 watches from Michael Matthew?s and what can I say.Matt?s & Anthony?s attention to detail and commercial sense have been invaluable in making decisions. Their welcoming family feel approach to selling pieces of time is so refreshing in a world that has become obsessed with things that I just don?t feel are that important to a prospective purchaser with the right frame of mind. Kudos to Michael Matthew?s. I probably won?t ever need to venture outside of their prodigious knowledge or stock holding again. Well done chaps a real class act. Customer for life.
