I was excited to go and get my free bakery item but I noticed that most of the sweet bakery items have flies all over them. I was left disappointed and had to find another lidl to get it

Usually never a had an issue here but today was whole other story. As we entered our 3 year old asked for a doughnut, he does this sometimes and we oblige and always pay at the till. But today a member of staff a rather loud man, decided to rudely point out to my wife that that was not ok and that we had to pay first. He insisted that the dougnut the 3 year old was holding be paid for before another bite was taken. This whole scene made my son cry. To add to it we had our 10 month baby with us. So we took the baby and crying toddler and went to the till paid for the doughnut and started to shop. He once again confronted us and again and we showed him the receipt. At this point my kid just left the doughnut and we decided we had enough and left without completing our shopping. Please don't go here if you have kids with you or if you do make sure you have company. Any supermarket that hires an employee who thinks he can raise his voice and behave in such a manner so as to cause stress to a woman and child is not a place for us. Ironically today is women's day and I had a nice evening planned but this did ruin it bit. I'm deleting my lidil app after all these years but my family comes first. The last thing the app told me was that I would have got that doughnut for free anyway. Bye lidil. We all have jobs to do but how we do these jobs matters too.
And to the man who did this I would like to tell you, it took a lot of restraint to just walk away from someone who treated my family like that. Be grateful you live in a more forgiving time.

Good store but around 10-11am Jan 11th 2025 self checkout guy was to busy talking to his friends I asked for a bag and he pressed 0 bags and walked of so I guess I had to just not pay for one his fault not mine

the bakery is never clean
they replenish on top of old items with the day before?s dirt. also the buff man working at self services tills looks like the youtuber Optimum

Just an awful store to shop in, very dark and cluttered with no external windows. Regularly runs out of common household products like decaf coffee, and if you ask when they're back in you get told "We don't know, its because of brexit" , Same excuse I used to get in the Holdenhurst road store. Very limited range of stock so I used to have to go elsewhere. Staff don't seem very happy but to be honest I don't blame them!
Got tired of shopping there and listening to excuses so not going there anymore!
Lidl Customer services seem indifferent if you look at the replies below, same reply for most complaints "Oh dear, sorry to hear this, please email customer services....." . You really need someone to sort out your online responses because from your replies on google, it looks like you couldn't care less!

Not very clean place, fresh veg and fruit are often not very fresh. Their baskets are dirty, check out tills are often not very clean. The staff is usually fairly friendly which is the bonus for that rating.

Had to leave the store again today as it is the most disorganised shop of Lidls? the work experience boy on the self checkouts should be moved back to the store room as he is useless with the general public.

Be careful if you carry your pet inside the backpack you put on your back, they don't allow it like we do in other supermarkets, and the manager Ben even sends others to approach you to get your attention and a warning, my pet is a small ferret and he gives me psychological support, this is very uncomfortable and there is no specificity saying that inside the fully closed backpack for pets, it is still not allowed. They only allow guide dogs, so you have to be very careful because they are not polite.

No till opened. 10 in queue for self service. I don't wish to use. Was forced to and would not weigh my cashews . 4 attempts. Chaos in there. Then 1 till gets opened?. Bring back tills and humans. Won't be back until they do . Great before all thus

The staff in this store have a terrible attitude. Spent £98 on my shopping and I couldn't get my £1.70 parking refunded, contrary to what was written. Will never shop here again, have to be Aldi if I want to go local
