Extremely helpful staff in a clearly very busy pharmacy. The staff are always kind and try to help in any way they can.

Absolutely useless staff. I had to ring up 111 as had no medication as away for the weekend. They gave me this pharmacy to pick them up from.1) They couldn?t find my prescription on their system even though it?s electronic now so goes over straight away.2) I was in here for well over an hour, waiting for the meds3) It took them so bloody long to find me on the NHS system.4) The whole staff was blaming 111 that they didn?t receive nothing from them.5) I rung 3 times to find if the prescription was here but no one answered the phone.6) An hour and half later I finally got my prescription.BAD CHEMIST IF YOU ASK ME

Shocking and disgusting! My partner went to take his medication this morning and realised he didn't have enough medication left, even though he should have had plenty for the next couple of weeks. No idea what happened. This medication is crucial for managing his severe depression and unstable mental health conditions so we immediately ordered it again from Pharmacy2U. We couldn't get a refill until Friday, and since he cannot be without it, we contacted the NHS 111 helpline, and they advised us to visit a local pharmacy to get some just to cover the period until the prescription comes in.My partner is not coping well at the moment so I drove him to castle lane pharmacy. However, the pharmacist informed him that they couldn't see his current prescription in the system, claiming it had been canceled back in May with nothing since then. This wasn't true as he had been on the medication for years and only went up to a higher dose in May, which apparently wasn't on the system either.Under normal circumstances, this situation would be frustrating anyway, but it got so much worse! When my partner explained that he had been on the medication since May and requested it as an emergency measure through 111, the pharmacist said that he needed to contact our GP. Given that it was a Sunday we couldn't contact the GP or wait until Monday, so we were stuck in a difficult situation, hence why we called 111 in the first place. My partner was explaining this to the pharmacist, who remained unhelpful and advised him to reach out to the GP again. We can't exactly wait for this medication, and fair enough, they couldn't help, but then the Pharmacist said to my VERY unstable partner "Look, it was stopped by your GP back in May and I think you KNOW that, you are just trying to get some."I have never been more shocked and outraged at the same time. The pharmacist's baseless assumption that my partner, who has a documented history of mental health issues in his prescription records, was a desperate addict was completely unjustified and disgusting! So many people depend on medication like this, and I can't imagine how it must feel to hear that!My partner came back to the car after I waited for him (Never a parking space anytime we come here) and explained what the pharmacist had said to him. I was stunned and outraged, and then worried as he began a huge downward spiral, resulting in him saying he wanted to give up and go without his life-saving medication for a week. In my view, the pharmacist's single outrageous sentence has had huge consequences, and I am very concerned about my partner's well-being. If he didn't have a support network like so many other people, I honestly don't know what would have happened and I don't like thinking about the consequences that could have occurred if I wasn't there to calm him down and get him home safely. In an ideal scenario, the pharmacist should have just apologised that they couldn't help after advising us to see the GP again. We are aware there is only so much they can do and my husband wasn't defensive or yelled to get his medication or anything. He just asked, knowing it was a long shot. That should have been the end of it. But with a few extra choice words from her instead, we are left seething and frustrated and my partner is in a very distressing situation. After another call to 111 explaining the process and hearing their outrage as well as the incompetence of one of Castle Lane Pharmacy's staff, we are now waiting for an out-of-hours GP to contact us, as my partner's condition has worsened significantly. The only problem now is most pharmacies shut early on Sunday and we don't know if we'll make it to a pharmacy on time. Our visit to Castle Lane turned our Sunday into a nightmare and a huge waste of time. I will never return here for anything or subject my husband to this place again. The service we received was absolutely abhorrent and unnecessary. The person involved should be asha

Useless ! Had to go and get my partners prescription they said they hadn?t received it , called the dr and they said they had sent it to them , they gave me the codes to the prescription and now I?ve been sat here for 45 mins waiting for them to do the prescription, I?m still sat waiting whilst i wrote this review , and in this time I?ve missed a very important parcel at home ! They basically lost the prescription ! I couldn?t come back as my partner needed the medication as he had ran out !

Organised Chaos. It's taking longer to get a repeat prescription made up - last time it was 5 days and still not ready. And then it takes an age to find where they've put it while the customer queue gets longer. It could - and should - be better given competition from Boots across the road.

Rude, unkind and unhelpful staff (lady dealing with costumers). Despite the convenience, I will never use this pharmacy again.

What a great pharmacy filled with lovely staff. Was possibly the smoothest experience I have had at any pharmacy. Staff were so accommodating and welcoming. Great experience ?

Get my prescription wrong almost every time. Never have the right stock, even antibiotics!! No point trying to ring as you never get an answer! Gave up and moves to a different chemist!

4th May 2023 - I have been ringing since 8am & after the long spiel about covid vaccinations, it rings once & cuts off! Once again I can't get through. I've been waiting weeks for a particular heart medication that was not delivered & after reordering it, the Gp just informed me it wasn't put through as a request in spite of the pharmacy trying to tell me they had delivered it!! They have not!! My Gp is sending another prescription & I would like to get the medication they have signed for please!! You owe me 2 boxes now, not just one so please deliver the medication you owe from March & the medication on the prescription you get today. Assuming someone actually bothers to check Emails & reads these posts as I actually need that medication to stay alive!!
