We took our recently turned 5 year old to spend his birthday money the experience could have been great for him - a learning process and a lesson about money. But it just turned into one endless upselling. Even after we explained that the money was his it was endless.

We took our Granddaughter to the Bournemouth Build a Bear shop today for a treat for her fourth birthday. The girls in there made her feel so special and she was over the moon with her unicorn. From making it to sprinkling fairy dust and making a wish, ringing the bell and singing happy birthday and much,much more. Thank you . She loved it.

Went in for my sons first birthday bear with his cousin and they don?t make the experience exciting for children what so ever. They would rather entertain teenagers running around the shop. They push and push for you to spend more money regardless of you saying we don?t want any extras just want the bears. They go against your word of what you said about not wanting to spend the extra money on the little things by showing the children what they could have and showing them so then they want them, when asking if it was an extra charge you get told ?£7 for this, £4 for that? so then you have to feel bad and say no sorry multiple times. Even after saying we didn?t want any extras. I felt very belittled when I said to them we didn?t want any clothes and that my nephew would go into the store closer to home with his mum to get some clothes. They kept pushing and pushing and then tried offering me a voucher (which I totally understand they have to try and offer these things ) but to then say ?are they tight for money too?? and tried to offer me a deal of purchasing a gift card for £5 but receiving £10 on the card. The whole experience was awful, over charged me for the birthday bear so had to stand around waiting to get that sorted. Was made to feel very uncomfortable and the whole experience of actually making the bear was very rushed. Would highly suggest you employ some more professional staff that at least look like they know what they are doing and not just their to mess around. Was really looking forward to having the whole ?first birthday build a bear experience? but I am really disappointed and it ruined the last part of my sons first birthday. Will never be returning.

Excellent customer service! All the staff are friendly and provide so much help. Megan was especially helpful and was happy to talk and walk through all the steps of making your own creations. A very lovely store.

It was Daisy and someone else who helped me make my first ever bears!! I didn't catch the other person's name but they got excited over Rocky horror with me and yapped and was really nice even though I had no idea what I was doing 10/10 I love my babies

First time visting a build a bear workshop I was very impressed with the level of service My partner wanted a bear for her birthday she has minor learning difficulties but the team made her feel very happy and she is very happy with her winter stich they even sung happy birthday to her at the end

Thank you to the build a bear team especially Annie..
Today we came in for my daughters 7th birthday party with 7 on her friends. We were welcomed in with open arms. One of the team went round and put balloon tokens on all the bears that were in the party package we chose (there was a great verity).
Annie was so Patient with all of the children she was kind and polite to everyone she came in contact with.
Annie kept the children happy and engaged. She took the time to get to know the children. And the children were confident going to her to ask for things. Which shows what an amazing person she is..

Brought my fur babies to build a bear 3 days ago on a visit to Bournemouth. Being dogs I asked if they could go in before entering and with a very warm welcome was told that they were allowed to. All ladies that helped us that day were so so lovely and I couldnt fault them. My girls got lots of attention and strokes and were made to feel very welcome. The staff were totally respectful and mindful of me not wanting to spend a fortune on their bear or add in noises or parts that may not be suitable for dogs. However despite this they did not cut corners and still gave my dogs a cute opportunity to kiss the hearts before placing into their bear etc. Thankyou so much you made our day and I cannot thank you enough for how kind and respectful you were to our pooches! ?

Lovely place to personalize your bear. Staff is friendly and the shop is well laid out. It is the second time I got a bear from this place. I recommend this place.

Such a welcoming experience! We were well taken care of by Sarah. We had two bears made and she really ensured the whole process was smooth and positive. Will definitely be coming back to get myself the Kuromi bear!! Sarah has a really positive aura to her. Thank you!!

Lovely shop. Our kids collect the build-a-bear Pokémon characters and we go and purchase them from our local Build-A-Bear, which is the Bournemouth shop. On our most recent visits we've been served by both Tasha and Raven, and they are both ever so helpful and exceptionally polite (as are the other staff). We bought exactly what we wanted and they go above and beyond to make sure of this. They are both a real credit to the Build-A-Bear brand, and we will happily always make our purchases from the Bournemouth shop. A real 'A Star' service.
