We used Athertons estate agents after we an unsuccessful 6 month period with a previous agent. Athertons got our property listed very quickly with high quality photos and the result was a sale within 3 weeks. During the selling process, Sam was very active in helping us with queries or chasing queries and providing updates when we requested. We really appreciated the effort he put into this over the 6 month 4 way chain we were in.

Wouldn't recommend this estate agency at all. Called on Saturday morning, provided details to view a property, no call, no email, no communication. Clearly not interested in selling properties. Girl on the phone was very dismissive.
**EDIT** After being accused of lying by the agencies response below, I have provided evidence of the time, date, how long I was on the phone for and confirmation the number I called was in fact the number provided below. I guess they have a mysterious woman working on Saturdays answering their phones.

Amazing service from the company.
We used Athertons Estate during the process of buying our first house.
Owen, who take care of our case was outstanding. During whole process he kept us informed, constantly communicated with our solicitors as well as sellers solicitors and ensured that the whole process which looked quite stressful at the beginning went quick and smooth.

I cannot recommend Athertons enough! As someone with high expectations, I know I can be a demanding client ? I like to be kept informed regularly (probably more often than most), expect things to be handled swiftly and efficiently, and value clear, accurate communication. Athertons not only met these expectations but consistently went above and beyond.
From the initial urgent onboarding to market (after we found a property we were keen to purchase) through to navigating the rollercoaster of house viewings and eventual success, Athertons were there every step of the way. They were quick to respond, provided constant feedback from potential buyers, and managed to keep us positive during the inevitable ups and downs of the process.
What truly stood out was their personal touch ? they talked us off the ledge more than once when impatience set in, and we feared missing out on our next home. Their professionalism combined with empathy made all the difference.
The house sold quickly, and we had an incredible number of viewings ? all it takes is one! Athertons' use of technology, from their excellent photographer to their apps and WhatsApp communication, made the entire process seamless and efficient. The two-point contact approach ensured we always had someone available to speak to, which really helped keep everything on track.
I will 1000% use Athertons again in the future and will wholeheartedly recommend them to friends and family. They made what can often be a stressful experience feel manageable and, at times, even enjoyable. Thank you for everything!

I originally came across Athertons when I saw a property on Rightmove that they were selling. Sam showed me around the property which turned out to be unsuitable for me. However, Sam came across as professional and knowledge. At that stage my property had been on the market for over three months with one of the big local agencies who got me lots of viewings but no offers. I therefore terminated the contract with them.
Following the termination I decided to engage Athertons to manage my sale. Sam came with his photographer. They produced a more professional set of images and a video Within a few weeks of engaging Athertons they had secured a sale at a price very close to my asking price.
The ongoing sales process was managed by Owen. He regularly contacted me to provide updates, he was great at chasing the solicitors on both sides.
I thoroughly recommend Athertons.

Receptionist rude on the phone, they have bad phone lines and when you speak up they say you are raising your voice. They rented me a property with water unsafe to drink.

I can't recommend Athertons highly enough. The sale of my property has just completed, Owen and Sam were brilliant. The sale of my listed property was certainly not an easy one and they 'held my hand' the whole way through, always at the end of the phone and constantly in touch with updates. I'm convinced that if it wasn't for them, the sale may have fallen through. They definitely provide the personal service that you get from a small independent agent.
