Just drove quickly to Asda castlepoint closing time 10pm. Got there 9.50pm to be greated by 2 bouncers saying you can't come in store is closing well I was well aware it closes at 10pm not 9.50pm all I wanted was a box of cat food...
SO ASDA I SUGGEST YOU STATE THAT YOU CLOSE THE DOORS AT 9.50PM NOT 10PM
ABSOLUTE JOKE I WILL NEVER SET FOOD IN THAT RIP OFF AS A SHOP AGAIN

Don't put non- sourdough bread in the sourdough section as it just stops people like me bothering with you and sticking to your rivals a few feet away.
Your choice of course, if you don't need my business !

Very disappointed with this Asda. Went to get something at 9.45pm but the security guard was not allowing anyone in as they needed to get everyone out by 10pm. They should really advertise this on Google so no one will make a wasted journey thinking that the store is actually open till 10pm. This is also not the first time I have experienced a rude attitude from staff at this store. They really need to brush up on their customer service. Best shop elsewhere.

Wow, the last time we came here, it was a real mess. Now it is clean tidy, and a joy to walk around
Displays were full, tidy and it feels like the staff actually care. Keep it up.

I only went in as I was looking for some specific items from the home section, unfortunately they didn't have anything in stock that I needed so I left empty handed.
On a plus there was plenty of free parking spaces.

We have been shopping regularly at ASDA Castlepoint for ages but no more. Today we had the ridiculous situation of joning a queue of 9 customers with full trolleys at the only checkout. After 20 minutes of queuing with other upset customers we gave up and went to the self check out (which is what ASDA want everyone to do) only to find another long queue which took another 10 minutes. Then the fun started! About a dozen times the machine refused and had to be reset by the assistant on duty. Never again! Sainsbury's at Castlepoint at least have checkouts open. Goodbye ASDA. (and I'm sure there will be many other customers joining us)

Overcharged on box of chocolates and had to wait 15 minutes at service desk whilst worker was inflating baloons for Halloween. Asda need to sort themselves out.

Having spent time looking around for children's fancy dress and being unable to find it,asked a member of staff who had a 'Happy to help' top on.The lady appeared irritated by me asking standing pointing to the area saying 'it's in there'.I explained I had looked, hence why I asked for help.
She then said ask the person on the department, which I explained I hadn't found and that's why I had approached her.
She said she would have to get back to her department as she'd get behind.
I then couldn't find another item in the chilled food aisle and again on asking the member of staff took me to an area asking if I'd looked, which I said I had ,with her saying she didn't know where they were.
So then the check outs....!
Only two open....queues of 6/7..self service queuing 20 deep...and took 30 minutes to get through.
This was a week day..so really not sure what it's going to be like leading up to Christmas...but sadly not sure I'll be using the store again.
