Maybe they were having an off day, but my ham cheese and mushroom omelette took 40 mins to arrive and it was pretty disappointing. Sorry, but it was. Seasoning seemed to be absent, it was a bit burned underneath, and with a mug of tea and two slices of cheap brown bread on top of the cost of the 3 extra fillings, the total was double the cost of just the 3 egg omelette on its own at £12.35. Despite all the other positive reviews, I can?t see why I would want to return.

Long wait on food. 40 minutes plus for a jacket potato.
Male staff will do anything get sauces and cutlery even though they are at the till where you order, for a female only table, but won't get anything for a mixed table. Very sexist in there. Shouldn't be allowed to get away with it these days.

We were in Blandford Forum on Friday and looking to have lunch somewhere. We came across the Gorge cafe and saw a blackboard outside saying Cod and Chips for £5.55 so we thought that's worth looking at. Ordered the Cod and Chips at the bar along with 2 Cafe Lattes and took a seat in the rear of the cafe, mind your head with the low ceiling. It arrived very quickly from a nice staff member. It was a generous portion considering the price and came with garden peas. You can pick up your own sauces when you ordered. The fish was lovely with a tasty and crunchy batter and nice crisp chunky chips. Altogether great value , good food and nice staff.

Without a doubt one of the nicest cafes I?ve ever been in. The young lads in there couldn?t be more helpful or friendly. They are always smiling and happy to help in any way.

I used to have my Breakfast there on a Sunday morning after cleaning the townIt was always great place to eat and have coffee Tony would always make you feel welcome. I miss going in for a chat .. As now I am in the Philippines One day I will returnAnd visit there again. Tony is a great chap and also a great place to eat
