Just popped in to ask for some help. My mum's car battery had died and we weren't able to bump it due to the immobiliser kicking in, we went into the pub asking if anyone has any jumper leads and we're quickly given a very sarcastic and condescending answer of "there's a big hill there, what you do is put it in gear and push it down!" Before we were given the chance to explain that, a) we have already tried this and b) all 3 of us actually have some mechanical knowledge and one of us is an actual mechanic! Overall the staff and patrons are very rude and unhelpful.

Milton Abbas is well off the beaten track. It is very Dorset in its feel and nature. Surrounded by farmland and forest. No street lights to speak of and really quiet. At the moment the village is hosting some amazing wooden horse sculptures. Thatched roofs and a wide main street make this a picture postcard village in the heart of rural Dorset. It actually gets properly dark here. Not that you would know any of that from inside this pub. Beautifully appointed inside, really well taken care of with a staff team who are friendly and professional. Great selection of drinks and food alongside regular entertainment and events. You can elect to stay here as well as there are rooms on the first floor. I did not stay this time but I am planning to.If you can find it you will not regret your efforts.

Family live in the village so popped in for a late afternoon pint. They didn?t fancy it, which should have given me a clue. Irredeemably rude service from an obviously drunk woman at the bar who not only looked and sounded irritated by my presence but also made a mess of a simple order, pouring the wrong drinks. Zero atmosphere inside. No wonder my relatives passed - they?ve completely given up on it.

Our favourite local public House! Wonderful atmosphere and welcoming landlord, Kieth, not forgetting his fiancé Bev!

Terrible hosts. Drunk more often than not, and sit around drinking like gnomes. More interested in money than welcoming guests.

We stopped here for a drink with friends before lunch at a nearby cosy pub - something this was not!! We had a very unfriendly welcome, no atmosphere what so ever and someone wandering around in what looked like very thin boxer shorts!! The person behind the bar had a heavily bandaged hand which blood had seeped through, just not acceptable! Previous reviews are so right, don?t bother. Having visited The Hambro a few years ago, and had a wonderful warm experience, to be disappointed is an understatement. For such a beautiful village, it needs serious improvement

Really angry as places this bad shouldn't still be running. The service was surly, bordering argumentative. Food was 'P' poor, I mean really horrendously shocking. If your thinking of going i would advise you go to a petrol station instead - you'll get better service. If you're the owners checking out reviews...i think you should take other reviews into consideration and make some alterations.
