A clean pub with friendly personnel, great beer (we love Palmer's!) and delicious food. We were visiting the area and just had one meal here but it seemed to be well-supported by the local community, many of whom were welcomed by name or were well-known to the bar staff. A terrific resource in this rural area.

Lovely village pub, run by volunteers. Dogs are very welcome. Food is good and reasonably priced. Occasional live music with various other activities during the month.
Caters for all occasions, weddings, christenings, birthdays, wakes or just a meeting of friends.

We were staying at Higher Park Farm camping, and used this wonderful local pub that is closed for food Mondays, Tuesdays the local fish and chip van ( pub more than happy to bring to table and eat inside). Wednesday the only day used the food we were served with some of the tastiest burgers I have ever eaten. Would recommend if in area to give this traditional local pub some business. We will be back.

Had a great meal here, well-sized food menu with a good range of veggie options (our son enjoyed the veggie burger and halloumi sticks). Lamb curry and beef + stilton burger also excellent. Enjoyed the ale and cider selection 'paddles', good range of on-tap drinks including Palmers beers. Recommended!

Well worth a visit. A lovely surprise to find a menu suitable for all, including vegans. No need to wade through pages of options, just enough variety to tempt. Engaging service without being too much. Lots of space around the tables allowing conversation . The pub is really valued by its community, it had two helpful volunteers serving behind the bar, assisting the lovely lady owner.

Fab Community owned pub. Run by Kerry and chef Clive. Buzzing atmosphere, great selection of Palmers ales and a winning quality and value menu! I can recommend the classic Burgers ? with extra bacon! ?

Lamb curry had no fat on the meat, seafood chowder was delicious, cheese burger was beautiful. And all topped off with some gorgeous scoops of ice cream

A pub saved by the community, in the heart of Broadwindsor, with a history going back centuries. On a whim yesterday evening we went for evening meal, probably the wisest thing we?ve done for a while.
There was a lively atmosphere, a friendly welcome at the bar and a good looking menu. Kerry found time to chat, in addition to explaining the menu and Clive in the kitchen is clearly an accomplished chef. My lamb shank was perfectly tender and the Jan Ellis pudding was every bit as good as I?d tasted when visiting South Africa.
Outside of school times there is plenty of parking outside the school, about 2 minutes walk.

A fantastic run community pub, overseen by Kerry and Clive. Great beers and excellent food prepared by chef Clive, you won't be disappointed with the selection or the results! A bit off the beaten track but well worth the visit. Make a plan and put it on your "to do" list!!

Really lovely country pub with a local atmosphere and great service. The food was exceptional. I love a burger believe me and I reckon the double bacon smash burger was one of the best I've ever had! Highly recommend!! My fiancé had the chicken and leek pie and was equAlly impressed! This little gem is a must visit if in the area. Oh very dog friendly too, our little puppy spread himself across the pub for a nap whilst we ate!

What a great village pub. We were on holiday in the area and decided to go to this ?community? pub and what a great decision. Food lovely and great friendly locals. Charming landlady. These are the sort of places that should be supported. I unhesitatingly recommend.
