I visited on the evening of 20 August 2025 and met the new owner and her two lovely front of house staff. A very warm welcome from walking in the door. The atmosphere was delightful, all the home comforts of a country pub but with a slight french bistro twist.
Local ales did not disappoint and the wine list was good.
Beautiful old pub, with lovely new owners. Fresh and clean inside, and nice sunny garden. We did not eat here, although I bet the food is great.

We were staying locally on a short break in Dorset. We booked our table and arrived for pie&pint evening. Very friendly and welcoming landlords, comfortable and clean surrounds and plenty of locals also enjoying the evening.
