Tasty breakfast. The rarebit was tasty and the full English was decent. The mushrooms weren't seasoned at all, but the beans tastier than regular baked beans. The fried multi grain bread was very good.

Very nice lunch. Friendly, if slightly inexperienced service. Would return if in the area.

Worth a visit

Had lunch here, the mezze sharing plate and a portion of bread, plus a half pint of ?house draught?, came to £23. The food was very good. The house draught, at £4 for half pint, turned out to be Amstel lager, not some nice local brew, and not draught, but served from a pressurized keg behind the counter. Not good value. There was ample seating outside on a fine day but a couple were allowed to bring a dog inside the building. If dogs are allowed both inside and outside the building, where is a person who wishes to eat without a dog nearby supposed to sit?

Lovely setting outside and the food was amazing. Peach Spritz was outstanding.

Last minute stop off for lunch at the end of long hot coast path walk. Mezze platter hit the spot and the homemade cakes were delicious. So nice to sit out in the garden area and enjoy the sunshine.

If you serve a T bag in a paper cup and a piece of cake in cardboard with a cardboard fork, and take 15 minutes to serve this, it would have been better to buy a cup of tea from a caravan park.
I was so disappointed that I had to write a review (unlike me).
If I pay £16 for a pot of Earl Grey for two, plus two cakes, I expect a bit of an occasion and a chance to feel special. This is what we pay for.
We were not warned it would be a T bag in a cup with no milk! Also a 15 minute wait was beyond reasonable.
Our server told us we couldn?t have pottery as the cafe was closely shortly. Then seriously, you should stop serving half an hour before you close!
I wanted to lodge a complaint before we left but it was chaos in the cafe hence this poor review.

Great place to visit

We came for lunch with some friends. Other than the main dishes there were bagels on the menu but quite expensive at £14.40. Otherwise there were cakes and scones on the counter. My husband ordered a bagel and it all arrived on the plate in bits and he put it together himself.
I ordered a lemon scone which was very nice, and no drink, but overall for a scone, one cup of tea and a bagel it cost £21.50 which I thought was a bit pricy.

Food was very good and different from the norm, which made a change. Staff were friendly, and the place was clean. Dog friendly, which is always a plus for me.
