We booked a two-night dinner bed and breakfast deal. Despite the awful weather, we couldn?t have wished for a nicer weekend. The food in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was excellent. Our room (3) overlooked the small beach and rocks and the views were great, even in the pouring rain. We?ll definitely be going back again!Rooms: Room 3 - stunning views. Spacious and a good sized bathroom.Noteworthy details: EV charging available onsite at a reasonable cost. 2 x 7kW chargers. At the time I stayed this cost £15 for 35kWh (5 hours of charging).

Amazingly built and kept after.Rooms: Very tidy and clean. Well equipped.Nearby activities: Great beach/es nearby. Good curry van in the summer about a 5 minute walk by a beach.Walkability: Very steep hills upto it. Once inside it is completely fine.Food & drinks: Good selection. Very nice.

The views from the hotel are extraordinary: waves crashing on the shores, the most beautiful sunsets, surfers, cliffs. The food was delicious and service was excellent. We got a massage and Carol, the masseuse, was outstanding. The rooms with an ocean view were breathtaking, we left the windows open to hear the waves at night. The room, bed, and bathroom were the nicest we have seen in England. The grounds were beautiful and invited us to sit and watch the ocean. Truly a luxury hotel. The pool and hot tub were OK, not especially "hot" more like a very warm tub with bubbles. The pool had nowhere to sit and only 2 tiny benches to place towels. No one was using it. The steam room however was delightful.

My wife is recovering from a broken hip so her mobility is temporarily limited. The staff went out of their way to help ensure her injury did not spoil her visit. The food in The Rock was cooked beautifully and presented with care and attention - thank you chef and staff. We have two minor suggestions - a grab handle in the walk-in shower would be safer and somewhere within reach of the stand-alone bath to rest the soap would be helpful. Overall an excellent stay in a super location.

We had four excellent dinners here although staying at the neary Lundy House B&B. Manager Ludek was very professional and personable as was our server Tereza. Fish and chips were best ever, and we ate them all four dinners. Good selection of by-the-glass wines. Prices a bit high but quality and service are more important on holiday. Definitely eat here.

Staying at the Watersmeet has been on the wish-list for many years of visiting Mortehow (25 and counting) and this year we decided to make it happen. It did not disappoint! The room we had had spectacular views over the bay and being lulled to sleep every night by the waves was a treat. The staff were spot-on in their approach , friendly and always willing to go that little extra to help. We had a meal in the bistro on our last night and the quality was fantastic. A wish-list item ticked off however I'm sure it won't be the last stay we have there.

We were upgraded to a large room with sea view . It was clean and well stocked. As we were upgraded we decided to eat in. The food was excellent although the meal in the bistro was not reasonably priced but it was tasty. A fellow bistro customer commented that the waitresses were not fully ?on the mark?. I agreed. I had to chase my beer order and ask for some water. They were not busy and this should not have been necessary The breakfast was excellent. The views from the restaurant and bistro are spectacular and ditto sea facing rooms Because of the room upgrade it was good value for money The reception staff were excellent being friendly and helpful. Would we return? Definitely and highly recommended.

I've been frequenting the beautiful Watersmeet Hotel in Woolacombe? over the Summer months since last year. I recently stayed in the deluxe suite last weekend and it was another fantastic and enjoyable weekend. The ambience and location is irrefutably the best with a fantastic area comprising of 2 swimming ???? pools, a Spa Snug suite right next to the restaurant. The breakfast and plethora of food choices is absolutely unmatched . Staff here are so kind and attentively make you feel special. I absolutely loved the full body holistic massage and Indian head massage treatments throughout my stay here????. The dining area is superb and room service too is quick, efficient and professional. To reiterate I thoroughly recommend the Watersmeet, it merits a 5 star, not the 4 star it currently holds? ?

We asked if we could have cream teas as non-residents.Yes was the answer . So after time spent on the nearby beach we were welcomed in and say on the lower terrace under a huge umbrella .The scones were warm and absolutely delicious. So much clotted cream and superb strawberry jam made it a very tasty treatWe paid £15 each and realised later we could have shared one cream tea between two .We enjoyed our pots of tea: breakfast and lemon and ginger .We weren't hurried away so we sat chatting enjoying the spectacular views for a while. It was a highlight of our stay.

Well this is a lovely hotel set in a fabulous place, don't expect speedy service or maybe what you actually ordered. A steak but no steak knife or a breakfast ordered by someone else. But the location and rooms are

A wonderful place to stay: plenty of parking and a warm welcome at Reception. Our room was well-appointed and spacious, with a great view over Combsgate Beach and the lovely sound of the waves. There's an easy path down from outside the hotel to the sandy and rocky beach.Breakfast is taken in the sun lounge, with amazing views over the sea. The buffet and served hot options are both excellent and we left feeling full.We would definitely recommend it and hope to return one day.

The staff are all excellent, friendly, welcoming and clearly take real pride in the hotel. The location and feel of the hotel is perfect, stunning views and lovely spaces in the lobby and restaurant. It is very slightly dated in places, but almost reassuringly so, and doesn't detract from the overall feel of the hotel at all. We both had a hot stone massage which was excellent. We stayed in a balcony room which was comfortable and had a stunning view over the beach and beyond. Sleeping with the french doors open to the sound of the sea was a definite highlight! Great food, excellent service, lovely venue. Highly recommend.

Another great experience for us both over the 5 days. The weather was so kind! The de-lux sea facing room and balcony was lovely and the food throughout all meals was excellent. Very much enjoyed our evening meals as they met our lesser needs in the Bistro, but the breakfasts were a good choice in the Rocks Restaurant. Our 2nd time of staying and very welcoming and caring throughout the stay. Thank You Staff.
