We tried the Goat Curry, Slouvaki, Halloumi Pasta and the Ham, Eggs and Chips. All were perfectly prepared, nicely presented and delicious. The service was quick, considering how busy they were, and the staff were friendly and helpful. This place is also welcoming of dogs. I would definitely come here again.

We ate here on the last evening of a 7 day stay in Morteho to celebrate my 80th birthday. It was a perfect end to a great week. The friendly, caring, efficient staff were a joy, as was the excellent range and quality of food. A lovely end to a great week in Morteho.....Thank you!
This building at the heart of the beautiful village of Mortehoe was the vicarage for a few centuries before becoming a pub-hotel in 1820, and it has been sheltering and refreshing visitors just about every day since then.
We’re delighted to continue that tradition of good food, drink and hospitality and everyone here takes a lot of pride in what we do.
As well as ensuring the food that we serve tastes good it’s really important to us to know that it has been ethically and humanely produced, so since March 2012 we have only used British meat and free-range eggs so we can be sure of traceability and high standards of animal welfare.
We are open all year round, and take bookings throughout the year - please call in, or phone us on 01271 870
