We went for Sunday lunch today. Lovely greeting and super friendly staff. 2 had shoulder of lamb. And 2 had beef brisket.
Well all four of us said it was the best roast we have ever had in a pub. The meat melted in your mouth. Veggies cooked to perfection. And the roast potato?s were delicious and seasoned and fluffy. The cauliflower cheese was so cheesy. It was fabulous. Puddings were also very tasty. Can?t wait to go back.

Ate here yesterday after a business trip, googled pubs in the area and this one?s reviews were great.
We were met with a friendly bartender and promptly served. After ordering food we sat and admired the interesting decor. Food came out quickly. Steak and Stilton baguettes?.delicious!!
Service great all round, food awesome, lovely setting and plenty of room inside and outside.
Will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Pub has so much character, the owners and staff are absolutely lovely, welcoming and helpful! Every meal we've had in there has been brilliant, music on tonight was brilliant (the red dirt band). And quite possibly the largest array of drinks I've ever seen in a country pub! You know it's a good one when it's been busy every time we've been in there even week days especially these days.

Honestly the friendliest pub I have ever been in. Lovely food. Great atmosphere. It?s busy. All the locals use it too. Totally made our holiday having this pub opposite our accomodation. Thank you for looking after us when the car broke down too. The icing on the cake!

An absolute gem of a pub. 3 of us had a meal there last night and they were all tremendously tasty and big portions. A very good selection of drinks at extremely reasonable prices. It's dog friendly and the staff are truly top notch. The only thing wrong with the place is its 250 miles from where I live otherwise it would become my local ???
