I hadn't been to the Cott for quite a while, it's always had a great reputation. I went for lunch with friends yesterday and we weren't disappointed. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, we all had the seafood salad which was so delicious I'll have to go back again to have it again soon. It comes with skinny fries and a slice of sourdough, beautifully presented.

Came for Sunday lunch on a beautiful day, Seated outside under the canopy our family enjoyed a gorgeous roast and desert! Forgot to take photos as it was so delicious. Even had a little visitor to the table. If we were closer than a 7 hour drive this would be a regular visit.

The Cott Inn is a beautiful old place. It has a great history and lovely atmosphere.

Dinner was ok. Fish and chips were lacking. Chips too crispy and oily for me and the local 'fish', which was unnamed, was well cooked but very thin amongst a large amount of batter. Far too much sea salt on the fish too, just sitting on top of the batter. I should know better than to order fish and chips in a pub. Mushy peas were excellent, enjoyed the smoky flavour. Service too also excellent and a very historical pub which would make for a great lock in!

Very nice traditional pub. Nice service. Ordered the Ceasar Salad (£21!) which was a bit of a car crash of a dish: the smoked chicken was an excellent innovation but it was sitting on top of the salad and made it wilt - not a great result! There was a mistifying addition of some deep fried squid bites, delicious but did not belong to the dish. Same goes for the fresh, whole anchovies. There are anchovies in a Ceasar Salad but they should be in oil and used in the dressing. Dressing which was underseasoned and garlicky, for some reason. Finally, the bacon that tasted like it had been deep fried in the same oil as the squid.

Well wow with a capital W. On arrival we received a warm smiling greeting. The food was bloody amazing. You could not meet better staff, bubbly and very attentive amazing. The whole experience was 12 out of 10. Highly recommended and will be back.

Have been here several times now for Sunday lunch and can't fault it. Service has always been good, portion sizes great, and even their children's menu has enough choices on their for even the fussiest of eaters. Great selection of drinks and both the atmosphere inside the restaurant and the outside gazebo is great. Always a popular little pub, especially on a Sunday so bookings are definitely recommended to avoid disappointment.

Went with the family for a Sunday roast to our local 13th century thatched pub.
Great friendly staff Peeps, Josy, Coral and Mark the owner, The roast was top tier was delicious, it was rammed we know the cott is incredible as our local but the table service was still calm chilled but quick hot food service! They have Pimm?s on tap amazing summer drink we are all lover of a Pimm?s! We weren?t rushed off our table even though they were fully booked it?s very well run pub the staff are all great team work together well! Just proper pub vibe, If you?re thinking about going don?t hesitate do it, it?s worth the travel! It?s a beautiful pub, great food, friendly hard working staff, dog/kid friendly what more could you want! Summer and winter aswell, beer garden ? ? then the fireplaces inside!! ? ?
