A team of ten from Cardiff were here for the skittles tournament and the staff in every department were amazing including Ben and his team in the restaurant absolutely no complaints whatsoever great staff, great hotel and great food well done to you all ?

Attended a skittles weekend. The room and bed were comfortable. The food was good and the staff were excellent.Hope the organisers pick it for next year.

Clean tidy very good spa and pool the bistro was very quite breakfast very good and the staff are friendly. I would expect free parking but not the case.Overall a good stay.Noteworthy details: Spa was excellent

Excellent short stay. Breakfast and evening meal superb. Lovely, helpful, happy staff. Availability of such extensive leisure facilities a welcome surprise. Evening and afternoon entertainment very good. Would definitely recommend.Walkability: On top of a hill. But bus stop outside.Food & drinks: Excellent menu. Something for everyone. But very obliging if specific dietary requirements.

Rooms are very nice, lovely bath! But personal preference is to have a soft bed and the beds were rather hard. The dinner we had was good value but not much of it and poor selection (this was a "festive menu") I am a very picky eater but I expected traditional things you see on a festive menu and there wasn't much. The breakfast was good as I much prefer buffet style and everything tasted lovely.

Diabolical, worst hotel spa experience I have ever had. Check-in was a nightmare, we had to park (to access the electric car charger) 3 hotels away and had to walk with all our luggage up and down stairs no lifts or luggage cart offered. The rude and disagreeable receptionist showed no apathy or concern. The hotel charge £10 per night for car parking if you don't book direct so be aware. Finally made it to our room after struggling up flights of steep filthy stairs. The room had an awful smell, peeling paint and was tiny. We requested to move which they begrudgingly agreed too. The room we moved too was the best we saw. After moving we discovered the toilet seat needed replacing as it fell off when l lifted it to use, they also needed to replace the shower head which was so caked over with scale almost no water coming out and it was cold when raising it we were told that there are loads of people in the hotel and that we should plan our shower times better. The TV was so tiny. Never have I ever been told that before anywhere in the world least of all in the English Riviera. The bath tub had hair even after they cleaned again. The whole hotel was grotty the carpets were filthy and tables tacky with dirt. Staff apologised but did nothing. Managers were the rudest and most complacent. Food was bad quality, the afternoon tea was horrible only option ham and tomato and cheese and pickle, the frozen carrot cake was so sweet no cream cheese here people and cheap sawdust tea was bitter and undrinkable. The scone was the only saving grace. On one of the nights we decided to try one of the on site restaurant got there at 8:15 only to be told they had closed the kitchen already! No room service no food at all available. We had as part of our package the fire and ice spa experience avoid it as it is not worth the money, you can use the same working facilities for free. The jacuzzi did not work and had clumps of hair and oil floating on top, the shower rain forest experience was broken, the steam room far too hot and the saunas were cold, which we raised and all they did was offer an extension which we did not take. No one seemed bothered. The massage I booked was actually relaxing thank you Lucy. But if not for her this would have been the least relaxing spa break we have ever done. Also note if you are under 65 and not looking for some night time action do not stay here. It was just the most awful stay, from room, to staff to food to facilities. You just felt scammed as everything was extra charge. Did not feel like the English Riviera. Most of what we complained about was easily fixable. We were relieved on check out only to be chargest the highest car charging fee that I have ever paid. I would avoid this place at all costs.Rooms: Dated, dirty, small, tiny TV, Smelly, no water pressure or hot water. Bad design and decor.Walkability: Not all floors are connected by lift stairs are steep and dirtyFood & drinks: Terrible quality, basic and tasteless.

Booked a wowcher deal that included fire and ice , afternoon tea and night stay , Staff in aztec need proper management felt like we had intruded on their day out , afternoon tea needs to either be taken off menu or a proper chef doing it , felt we were given not such a great room as we had booked through wowcher , outside furniture needs putting in the skip and outside pool needs cleaning and covering , very tired looking furniture everywhere.Fire and ice was OK but have been to better. Plus side we did venture and find ten pin bowling where staff were very helpful and pleasant.
