Having retired from the financial services industry (a national firm of IFA's), it became an interesting exercise as to where to re invest my pension funds, as I wanted to utilise an active fund manager, as opposed to passive. After a lot of research I decided that the Pension Drawdown Company was probably one of the best, if not the best company to engage with. In 2012 I transferred my pension funds, and my wife followed me. We had meetings with Roger Easterbrook and Jonathan Walker, the MD, and were impressed. The service that Roger has provided has been outstanding, as has the growth of our funds, that we have both experienced. Roger contacts us on a regular basis with recommendations, or to ask as to whether we are comfortable with our investments in a region, for example China at the moment. It is this level of active management that makes our original decision to run with them, one of the best financial decisions that we have made, and the growth of our funds since the original investments has been excellent. We can highly recommend this company.

I have no hesitation in recommending the Pension Drawdown Company to anyone who is looking for a professional hands-on approach to their investments.From day one I have been more than happy with the advice and guidance on my investments and the regular contact I have had with Jonathan and his experienced team. Whether it be advice on investments relating to elections, Brexit or the Covid pandemic they have always kept their fingers on the pulse and ahead of the game and this has been rewarded with a handsome growth in my investments year on year. I was looking to move my old company defined benefits scheme to a drawdown type arrangement having done a reasonable amount of research myself. I then searched for an independent financial adviser who could help me with this and this, in itself, was a bit of a minefield. In the end a friend recommended the Pension Drawdown Company in Torquay and another company. I looked at both companies websites and have to say that the Pension Drawdown Company's website was very impressive with an excellent level of detail that clearly showed their years of experience. They also appeared to be one of the few companies who could, if it was the right thing for me transfer my benefits out, actually effect the transfer. From the first moment I contacted them I dealt with Roger Easterbrook who, I have to say, has been so helpful conducting a full financial review and providing me with very sound advice. For me the right thing to do was to transfer the benefits from my old scheme and the work that Roger did demonstrated fully what I had really felt was the right thing to do. He has been thorough, responsive, efficient and there to answer all my questions and queries over these last several months. It has been an absolute pleasure having someone like Roger helping me through this understandably detailed and sometimes complex process in order to arrive at the right decision. I can't thank Roger enough for all of his support and help through this. I am now in a position whereby I have some real choices at a point in my life where it is much appreciated. I have been a client of theirs since 2013 when I transferred an old Prudential pension to them. I didn't really touch it for a few years until i retired 4 years ago. I transferred my other work private pension in so that it all sat in one place. I have made withdrawals over the last 4 years and the fund is still the same value as it was when I retired and started drawing down. Thanks to the advise and regular reviews with Jon Walker and his sister Suzanne the funds have performed very very well .I trust their advice and they have never let me down. I find the whole team to be very good at their particular roles in the company and very friendly as well. I am able to check the funds performance whenever I wish , which I do regularly, and if I have any concerns a quick phone call and discussion gets it sorted out. I would recommend anyone in any doubt about pensions and who to use as an IFA to approach PDC. I did exactly this 8 years ago and the choice has paid off for me.
