This review applies to today in the Torquay branch.
The till staff member was polite and friendly .
Upon our exit the manager followed myself and my husband to a nearby shop and stood in the doorway shouting abuse at me (in front of other somewhat bemused patrons),as he believed I had been rude to him.
He conducted himself as an arrogant bully.
What a shame ?.

Sports direct Torquay: should employ staff who have good customer service and a personality! I think I would rather pay more and go to a sports shop where they give you good service. This is after a visit to their store today!

The store manager is not competent to be a manager but he can be a good security he don?t know nothing about customer service and not helpful at all

Asked staff member to see if there was a different size in the stock room, response was not worth looking because its too messy, can't find anything. Asked different staff member to reach a high garment and his attitude was ok but can't be bothered really. Lady at the till not friendly or welcoming.

When we ask to try on shoes, the salesman seems annoyed! And at the checkout not very friendly and helpful either, too bad!

incompetent, I wasted 30 pounds and I discovered that you can't add your name to my football shirt because it's the training one, it's a shame that when I bought it they told me that I could and that I had to come back another day because they had run out of letters. I can't even give it back because I've now removed the price tag even though I kept it. Don't go there!

Quite a big sports direct with plenty selection however seemed really over price compared to online and other sports directs..

On every rail they have one item of colour size and length. Yet, they offer 2 for a price. When I asked for a second pair, I was told they had all the stock out. When I pointed they had one of each colour, size and length I was told that's the way it is. Really!

Dreadful service! I didn't believe previous reviews but they really are true. Waited 10 mins to be served and eventually went to JD Sports instead, you pay a little more but better service and more choice.

Terrible service no staff around to help and when I did get to the tip I could hear the manager shouting and complaining about the staff.Finally when I got home the trainers I bought didn6even match shocking.

Large spacious branch with good varieties of sports wear, good prices especially if they have offers.Staff are nice.
